Some things will never change DW. A denizen of the night I shall always be.
I am doing reasonably well. Lasagna was involved in my day today, which alone does wonders for the spirit.
And you? How are you?
Standing salty, wet and naked can be a bummer depending on where you're hanging out. Down here, it's the same temperature at midnight as it is during high noon. No problemo here.
*smiles* Well sometimes it is reassuring when a few things remain the same.
lol! Maybe I should try including Lasagna in my own day more often, it might help with my general feeling of lassitude.. *sigh*
Indeed yes
It is funny, I'm fine with cold fresh water, actually it is one of my favourite places to swim, but cold salt water always bothers me a little.

Have a good rest.

here I am... I live (believe it or not... most people dont because they think I give out a false residency online because thats the smart and intelligent thing to do, but hey since when am I either of those. and if you are stalkers then you face one helluva a travel fare...) on a little island called Kosrae... beach is like 60 some meteres from my house.... yet i never find myself skinnydipping. surfing yes. swimming with something on yes. swimming in the middle of the night with less than somethign one. not so much. maybe i should try that before summer is over though... would you say it completes the whole living near the beach experience? oh and beornica, now that I am king I need an imperial battlemage. your strange and bizzare chicken dance spells (even if they dont seem to work... though how would we know since we cant see them) are the closest thing ive got. AND THAT IS RIGHT, I KING BOB THE (wink wink nudge nudge) NEWBIE AM KING!!!!!!! not whatsyourfaces the impostors.... bow peasants!

Newbies = 25 posts (31%)
Vets = 55 posts (69%)
Significantly more vets have posted in a thread dedicated to the Newbies! Buck, I think this thread needs to be re-titled!

Uh... who is a vet, and who is a newbie here?

Hello to everyone! (I hope I'm currently not alone here... But then again, with no witnesses I can't embarass myself.) I thought that a place dedicated to newbies looked like the best place to make a first impression, and besides I can increase the count ratio of the newbies in this thread. I'll be staying here today for about an hour, relaxing and reading a good book if noone else is here, and help my self to a glass of wine if I may.

Depends... I've lurked in the BBQ-thread and I must say I'd like to taste some of it IF it is not a former forum-user... But in general I'd say yes, I like bbqs.
Why do you ask?

You're a very high level Newbie.

I think someone said that we are all just various levels of Newbie... You're a very high level Newbie.
With some prestige class levels of
veteran.
Anyway, I wonder what constitutes
newbie per se. If you go by join date, I'd say I was a vet. But the fact that I spent only one month in the forum when I joined, then left for two years should negate that.
Thus, there is also the number of posts approach. I'd say anything below 500 is newbie status. From 500-2000 it is veteran status. Above 2000 is spammer status.
You might have a different definition.
So, what constitutes being a
newbie?
So to just finish off, welcome LoreMaster! Come back to share thy newbieness with us.

Shh...! You have to follow the trends of the moment! Newbies are IN, veterans are OUT! Look, we have threads like this one and SYM History for Newbies being created just FOR US! It's obvious being a newbie is
the thing right now. Praised be newbieness!

Pre-spammer's Guide!
I could claim that there is nothing new under the sun, but then I might be accused of sounding like an old, jaded veteran!

Very true, very true. We certainly ARE the bomb.
And I'm THE MAN!!!!!
Yeah, I've had a suspicion lately that veterans were falling out of favor - they keep on trying with their private jokes and their reminiscing, but the current influx of newbies.... I don't know, but I say you and I host a newbie/veteran contest of sorts. Whaddaya say?
Based on a gameshow of choice. One where it doesn't matter that there are like 50 veterans for every one newbie..... (ppht... some "influx)
