Do we have enough evidence to actually bring him to trial....and would you be willing to....it is Chanak afterall.

But Chanak knows little of SYM's illustrious history and he's been around a couple of years!
That's as good a reason as any!

We have more evidence against him than anyone else. I think we pass the 50% probability of obtaining a conviction test. But you rightly point to the second test, is it in the public interest. That is for the judicial arm, however, not the investigatory body (this to keep Phreddie from patronising me. Some hope

)

I think we need to know whose in charge of what....who is on the investigatory body, whose on the judicial arm...jury(council),prosecutors,DA, attorneys, judge.

You just answered your question...it pays nothing because your the newest here and therefore are not a judge...besides you have to be appointed by someone with more experience and a high statis/reputation....

As much as the accused is willing to pay to get an acquittal.

Hmm, can I get 'fair' justice on demand?

Shouldnt we make a list of jobs then people could apply for them and we could then vote...for example we could make a list of everyone who wants to be a judge and then vote for them..

And anyone on it doesn't get the job ?

say the judge job is between person B and person A, we all vote, but the runners cant vote, who ever has the most votes wins... you must also be nominated by a senior member to become a candidate.
