I am thinking about doing a "beer" catagory, that may be something to see :D :D

Im not sure whether you are joking or not, but if there is a possibility that you are serious, then you should open up the door to ALL alcoholic drinks-there are thousands of different types so certainly you could ask 5 questions about them, not sure how quickly everyone would get the answer, though.
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

Depends on who was online at the time I guess.....It may give the SLURR's an unfair advantage of course. :D

All will be revealed.... :D I'll probably take the weekend and maybe have everything ready by Sun night or Mon. :D

don't worry about it, I have had many threads die horrible and premature deaths. (not that that will happen to yours, I suspect it's just no one is here at the moment) ;) :D

I will be ready to get going again.

The lyrics thread is only the 2nd thread I started on SYM. I thought it might be interesting, I have to give it a little more time, though. Im sure I will come up with more ideas for threads sooner or later.

So, I have asked you before, though you never answered: Are you a NASCAR fan?

Nope, don't get into NASCAR, and that gets me quite a few odd looks where I live ;) I spend most of my sports energy on football (NOT soccer) and a little basketball thrown in

I was hoping you were a NASCAR fan because my favorite driver hails from your state. Jeremy Mayfield from Owensboro.

Football is another sport I get into a lot. From Massachusetts, I was pleased about the Superbowl. It was about time a team from New England won something. However I have always been a fan of the Rams aswell, because I am a HUGE fan of underdogs. I got interested in football in 1995, so the Rams were really bad then. Naturally I pulled for them to get the win. Once they were a good team, I still had my heart out for the team, so I still like them even if they are no longer the underdog. I was also a fan of the Bengals in 1995, and Im still waiting for them to get to the Superbowl. When do you think the Bengals will get to the Superbowl again? And do you think the Patriots have a chance to repeat?

*breaks out a bottle of the good stuff for AC*

Congrats!

@Ty, I am a big Redskins fan myself, since 19819damn I'm old)

I think the pats have as good a shot as anyone in the AFC, except maybe Pittsburg since they got in a weak division. The Bengals? just as soon as they get a half-way decent QB, they will make a big move, they really have enough talent on their team, just no one to pull the trigger for them. :D

I pick the winners of each game is on every given week of football like the people do on HBO sports. I get about 2/3 of the results correct. So naturally, I also try and pick which teams will make the playoffs. So one team I have picked to make the playoffs IS the Redskins. I think Spurrier is going to ignite the offense of the Redskins. And with their very healthy finish last year, I think this combination will be ample to pull them in the playoffs. I pick the Patriots to make the playoffs this year, but I dont pick Brady to have another strong season, so I think the Patriots will falter in the playoffs.

The Bengals-I dont pick to be in the playoffs, they had weak draft selections and, youre right, they dont have a quarter back. So I think Dillon will have another good year in the running game, and thats about it for the Bengals. But, hey, last year I picked the Patriots to win only 6 games, and they ended up winning the superbowl. The surprise team this year coming will be either the Cowboys or the Titans, I think both had terrific draft days and offseasons. Look for the Cowboys to finish about 8-8 and the Titans to make it to the playoffs.

Ty - No favorite racer in specific. Just kinda watch who's racing and watch how bad they do. If they really stink, then I know not to root for them in the next race. :D

BS - Thanks for the drink. Whoo -- I'll see ya when I hit 500 mark. ;)

I think Spurrier is gonna be a good caoch, but I am still not sold on their QB situation. To me, they have a bunch of QB's who have had chances to prove they could perform, but just didn't get it done. I do like Ramsey though, I think he is gonna be the real deal. To me, their defense is gonna put them into the playoffs, their Secondary is outstanding at corners, and their LB corp should be dominating with the new Defensive coordinater.

Much as it pains me, being a Cowboy hater, they will be interesting to watch this year. I say Emmit get the record before halfway through the season. I really wanna see what terry Glenn does in Green Bay too.

Locally? The Rams. My favorite team? Used to be Green Bay, but uh... Not as much anymore. I guess I'm in a stage where I'm still picking my team, too.

@BC Hey, I hate the Cowboys too. Like I said, I am into underdogs, and when I got into the NFL in 1995, The Cowboys were most certainly, NOT an underdog. I had watched superbowls since 1990 and I knew the Cowboys were the hardest team to beat. That made me hate them. And that hate hasnt gone away.

@AC That means you must not like Mayfield-Hes stuggled badly this year :( -but he's a good racer, hes won 3 races in the last 4 years, so thats not that bad. Did you like Earnhardt before he died at Daytona? He was a very contravercial racer, because he always pushed the boundaries when he always clipped cars on the racetrack. I guess thats why he was really popular. But, youre right, you dont have to be a fan of a certain driver to enjoy the sport. As long as there is a lot of excitement on the track, it can be easy to enjoy

Well the Rams are a good team to be a fan of. A good organization, good players, and they work well as a team.

Super Bowl 34 was pretty big for us in Mizzu, and 36 was pretty tense (Dang Patriots. I guess they're good...)

Well we had to get some of the glory-I mean the Rams won in 1999/2000 and the Patriots had never won before. Not to mention the Red Sox drought in basball, since 1918. I mean before the Pats won the superbowl, it had been 16 years since ANY franchise in New England won ANY championship. Im just glad Superbowl 36 was such a good game-2 great teams fought it out to the final second. Not like what happened in 1986 to the Patriots vs The Bears-when the Bears beat us 46-10. That was a disgrace. Superbowl 34 was also VERY good, when that went down to the final second. It was a tense moment for me because I much preferred the Rams and 1 yard was a bit close :D
