It shameful that I did not know about Brazil's problem until the other day. I did know about the US, thought not about the variation between states. Is that due to different laws. If so what do US citizens conclude ?

I'm not vouching for the reliability of any of this. The Brazil problem is right I think because I read it in a number of places the other day. The second site doesn't contradict it because it doesn't cover Brazil. No idea why not since it claims to be international figures. It's the middle of the night here so I won't be looking into this any further now. Sorry

I just thought that if Brazil had such high rates, it would pop up on both lists. In any case, thanks for the links, I am going to read up a little on it.
