How come the holidays were the two weeks before easter, rather than the two weeks AROUND easter, like usual...

The same for me...I don't know why that is. Maybe it's to do with the starting date in 2005.

IIRC, it may be to do with getting another week in summer this year, there is a cycle apparently...

Probably has to do with Easter being late this year. Date is calculated as the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox. That gives a date between about 22 March & 20 April. So this year it's fairly late.
