And balance is not necessary. Yes, you have to have one extreme to appreciate it's antithesis, but you don't have to have equal quantities. If I'm punched in the face once and kissed 10,000 times, I still realize that kisses are better. :D

For me it entails believing in myself and my actions,not some higher power, and seeking answers in myself not in religion.

Well I am not religious but I call myself atheist. Wouldn't like to rely on finding answers inside me, though. I quite like books ;)
