someone in the undercity said that 'the promised land' was a fairy tale, or am i mistaking?

They thought it was a fairy tale or a legend but then as a quest you find clues that give directions to it, indicating it is in fact real

My thoughts:
They need to put Coruscant in. I think just about everyone here agrees upon that. I would put it as the Dantooine/Telos world where you learn about your quest and return to it in the end of the game (i hate endings :*(

anyways, i dont think they should over do Movie planets like Tattooine, omg show something else for a change, its in 5 of the 6 movies and a bunch of the games

i dont think hoth and endor should be shown, there are alot of planets and it would be rude of wampas, tauntauns (spelling?), and ewoks to hog all the galactic history

korriban maybe, its a nice place but has been in the first two, i would go ahead and say put it in but maybe not my first choice, however, there does have to be a sith oriented world

yavin IV? we got to see it, i want to know more of what the terrain and buildings look like, maybe that could be the sith oriented world? Naga Sadow maybe left some important stuff therE?

why settle for planets? why not more moons, space stations and asteroids?

show us some planets never before seen pls

In response to that "Location of the Promised Land" question; I recently played the correlating part of KotOR One, and it was said to be somewhere far, far beneath the Taris Undercity.

Sorry for the late response but where did you get that information from? For someone who have never touched a Star Wars novel in his life, how do we know Yavin IV is a Sith controlled planet 4000 years before the events of Episode 1?

Agreed. I hope that if the 'Promised Land' is found, it better be good looking. Otherwise, it will be a total waste of time to just hop over there and see nothing interesting.

I'm not entirely sure that i'm correct (That's why I phrased it as a question), but wasn't the reason Master Yoda went to Yavin to conceal himself in the planet's Strong Dark Side Aura? Wouldn't this then mean that said planet was once an important Sith planet?

Sorry for discussing something off-topic here but Yoda escape to Dagobah after the events of Episode III, not Yavin IV. What I do know about Yavin IV is that it was a Rebel Alliance stronghold during the events Episode IV onwards. Before that, I don't really know. I'll look up Wookiepedia to glean more information about this planet.

Aha, you're most correct, my apologies for that. How about going to Dagobah instead of Korriban, then?

Dagobah? Hmm. I don't know. That planet doesn't seem to have anything interesting on it, unless you have a mission to track some hidden artifact, then its a suitable planet since no one at that time could have known about that planet. :)

KotOR 1 - Rodian in space station above Yavin (Suuvam Taan?) says Exar Kun fled there.

In Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, Luke makes references to the Massassi temples on Yavin IV.

Wikipedia has some information.

Dagobah - the cave Yoda lived in was strong in the dark side, as he killed a dark jedi there.

Really? Hmm. I thought that Yavin IV is some planet used by the Sith as refuge or something and not controlled by any party. I take back what I've said previously.

Just one problem. When I went to Wookiepedia's version of Dagobah (link), it made no mention of Yoda killing a dark Jedi there. He just went there to conceal himself since the planet contained some Living Force that balances his force powers, rendering him invisible. But lets get back on topic about what this thread is really all about.

About new planets, maybe the developers can introduce a mix of some of the planets in the Star Wars novels and some new and original ones as what someone has mentioned a while back.

P.S. Are you GregtheSleeper? What happened to your name?

yodas backstory is funky. i guess he was a slave or something and crash landed on dagobah with another one of his slave buddies. there he met a jedi master that trained him. (i forgot his name. its in wookiee...) of course yoda was a youngling and he had no idea that he was force capable. so yea.

but i dont know if i would want to go to dagobah in the III kotor. (if there is one) i dont know about you but dagobah is just sooooooo over used IMO. but whatever.

Hmmmm what about ....

I would like to hit up a planets on the outskirts of the galaxy. Not to many new planets unless the story call for it. I would rather them explore alot more history of some of these planets. I mean planets are huge to explore so i would think 2 maps of one planet isnt enough like in the past games. The history written on the past KOTOR 1 & 2 are pretty awesome and hope it continues especially with better platforms.

Welcome to the forums, KublaiKahn. :)

As for the idea of adding more areas to explore on any given planet, its a really good idea. I don't really fancy too many planets, unless if KOTOR 3 is going to be a very long game and have a lot of quests to deal with.

Im not to sure about corusant because 1 if there are hardly any jedi then there is no point visting the jedi temple there because u hear kreia sayin stuff like the halls and the fought have fallen silent and thts the main reson i guess every1 wants tht planet and also i personally reckon the sith would worrk their way inward to the core so its more likly to be outer and mid rim worlds. thts just me personally!!!!!!!!

hmm

But if we had the option of coruscant and the sith invaded then we would have 1 crazy battle :D wich i wouldnt mind,
