Well it looks pretty hopeful to me. This could be a gaurantee but it also might be a lie to see how we would react. But, maybe......

I remember seeing something a while ago about an announcement at the
30th movie reunion, maybe announcing the new KOTOR? Has anyone heard anything recently about that?

Yeah, that's the site. I was wondering whether anybody had any more info on it. Last I heard, it was just a rumor and not confirmed yet. It would be good to know if they are actually going to officially say something.

I really hope they officially announce the game soon, but I highly doubt they will until after "The Force Unleashed" is released and in full swing.

Ideas
I've got it! Sorry i haven't posted in a while. Look Kreia clearly points out in the end game conversation that Revan will need warriors, Sith and Jedi. Kreia was there to show followers the way. Now that the Exile has defeated the Sith Lords and have trained the future Jedi, they will need to show others the way. This they know. Eventually after they send enough out with Revan it will show the entire party. You might play as Revan searching the Unkown Regions looking for others. Your first companion probably would be The Exile. If you have questions about characters like Mission and people like that I have theories. Mission probably is in charge of the Taris restoration effort now that Telos succeded. Zaalbar returns to Kashyyk to fight off slavers. Jolee probably became a historian documenting the adventures of Revan. Canderous most likely tries to reunite the Mandalorians. HK, T3, GOTO and Bao-Dur. Bao probably became Jedi Master. GOTO sacrificed himself with Remote (maybe Remote) HK will be his crazy self assissting other masters in the future. Carth is Admiral and others join Jedi Council. Not sure bout Bastilla
Anyways thats all i got. See Ya.:mischief:

These are the threads for postings like this:
"KotoR III Storyline and Remarks" or possibly the "What Do You Want in KOTOR III? Part II" thread.

Hello all
Yeah, i pretty much solely registered to post in this topic

haha.
Anyway, ive read a decent amount of the posts made and I'd just like to comment on one thing.
The developers most definitely left room for the sequel that I didnt know before, a few posts up from this mentions about half of what im going to say but not to the full extent.
When i played through recently, Not going to lie i cheated and used the Kotor Savegame Editor. Fully for the purpose of getting an influence of 100 with all companions to unlock additional dialogue that I hadn't previously gotten. But after defeating Kreia she added a new line in that I'd never heard her say before.
It was along the lines of the future of Bao-Durr and the droids, she said something about not being able to tell then she said something along the lines of;
"even the little one that waits outside for you. I sense he has another mission for you, he intends to take you into the outer-regions" Or some junk.
Basically a Kotor 3 line up would be searching for Revan, Seeing as T3 Was the only one that had access to the navi-computer with Revan being gone and him locking it, T3 knows how to get to the planet Revan was on because Revan sent T3 out to search for the Republic and Additional Jedi.
Soooooo peice that stuff together to form a conclusion if you please, but bottomline is they have absolutely no reason to not make a sequel anymore, you cant just kill off a series in which the first game got game of the year almost isntantaneously, So bring on the damn sequel!!! lol

Hello, welcome to the forum.
I'm no expert on how corporations make marketing decisions, but I'm guessing the need to finish a story isn't a huge factor. That said, it's true that both K1 and K2 were huge commercial successes. You do wonder what they're up to over in LA land.

[quote="garzellm"]I think I got an idea. You see the release date is going to be secret to make more money and suprise people.QUOTE]
I think the same, if Lucas Arts would annouce it to early it would already be old news at release.
Unfortunately, I think Lucas Artsis not going to release the game untill spring 2009 because this autumn GTA IV is going to come out on pc which will place a possible release of KOTOR 3 into its shadow

A line you had never seen before?
Unless there was a new update recently which added the line that doesn't have to mean anything.

That's not what we wanted to hear. Important guy resigns because of "difference in philosophies", and they replace him with someone from EA? That doesn't sound good!

No it dosen't
I would love for there to be a MMO based in the Kotor timeline, but don't make the third game a MMO I don't see how the story could fit.....

The story fits by you being part of the army that Revan leads against "the true sith." Which is why I agree that an MMO in the Kotor timeline would work well.
