That happens often? :D
It hasn't happened in a while, last time involved a young woman and her family coming here for a while and my older friend hooking up with the older brother. Friend brought older brother over to introduce me, who happened to have the duty of watching his younger sister. Younger sister and I got along very well and mother tweaked and crying and bad things. Girl crying led to upset father, which led to mother upset and lots of upset people and my being lonely. :(

Ladies and Gentlemen, here at last, is the moment you've all been waiting for! Even with the melting Igloos, and rabid essays hounding this project from day one, I am proud to finally bring you the results of the 4th Annual SYM Awards!

I hope you've all found your seat, and are thoroughly liquored up. I'll tell you folks, it was a close race for many of the contenders this year, while others simply took off and didn't look back.

There will be time for speeches afterwards, as well more drinking. With further adieu, here they are!

To start, we just wouldn't be the group that we are today, if it weren't for our members. Sure, we're sick and twisted, and maybe a little perverted, but that's why no one else will take us! We're the ones who formed a group, because no one else wanted us in theirs. Well, aren't they sorry about that now!

The award for most helpful member in SYM goes to...

Xandax!

Xandax quickly pulled ahead in this catagory. Though Fable put up a strong effort in being helpful, something about Xandax just urged people to throw votes his way. His bribe tactics should come in very useful next year when he publishes the book.

The award for SYM's Funniest Member...

Bloodstalker!

no other catagory in the voting was close as this one. All contenders were given a strong backing, with both Aegis and CM falling just one short of tying the funniest man in SYM.

The award for SYM Most Loveable/Romantic Female Member

Scayde, by a landside.

Apparently we can't keep this girl down. It looked sketchy at first, but it wasn't long before the votes rolled in for her, and didn't stop coming.

The award for SYM Most Loveable/Romantic Male Member

CM!

The sleeper hit of the year! Apparently his method of shunning all hugs, and drinking tea paid off, as he earned SYM's most loveable male award. It seems Gwally was simply one vote off from taking his title back, but the nature loving man will be passing that honour over, it seems.

The award for SYM Best Couples

BS and CM!

We just can't keep these two apart, it seems. Though BS has had his share of love affairs, it seems CM's ability to be loved has won over the heart of the one time chaser of AC. Ah, c'est amore...

Even with members, a forum just isn't the same unless these members post. While some cringe, others laugh, and the magic that is SYM unfolds to create a unique atmosphere of community and friendship.

SYM Thread of The Year

Thread of Eternal Newbie Torment!

The late comer of the Witch King's took SYM by storm. The prospect of torturing the poor newbies of SYM was simply too appealing for many of the members here at SYM, as it sweeped the award right out from under the feet of the Heathen Citadel.

SYM Best Tavern

The Flophouse!

Another upset, it seems, as Scayde's Flophouse managed to steal the win just in the nick of time from the Citadel. It seems that Heathen's just weren't up to the task of hosting the threads this year, though they put up a strong effort.

And now, we bring you the miscellaneous awards. No one's knows where they came from, and we're damned if we know where they're going!

SYM Best Avatar

Luis!

A tight race between both CE and Luis, with Luis' eye sneaking into the lead in the closing minutes of the voting. Perhaps it's the fear of big brother watching us, or simply the last thing a... Well, let's not go there ;)

SYM Best Signature

Jesus Saves... And Takes 1/2 Damage!

Well, apparently Jesus saves, and sweeps the award! Vicsun seems to have invoked the love of the son of God, and swept the award from the other contenders. It just goes to show that mixing DnD with religious humour is always a recipe for success.

SYM Best Location

The maelstrom where chaos merges with lucidity!

DW's bravery and daring to be located in such a place seems to have swayed the minds of the SYM voters. Perhaps it's just another way of saying SYM, or something completely different, only the female canuck really knows.

Most stupid thing said in SYM

1. There's duplicates
2. The owner of the forum is still in there.
When SYM speaks, it seems this is what they want to hear. No other award won by such a landslide in votes. This exchange just seems to have captured the imaginations of all here.

SYM Rookie The Year

Jopper!

It seems Jopper has made the biggest impact in his SYM debute. Enough of one to be granted the illustrious title of 'Top Newb'! Will this make him a target, or grant him quicker access into the hallowed halls of the ancients. Time will tell us soon enough.

Lastly, we award one award to the member who everyone feels has contributed the most to SYM, and Gamebanshee in general. Someone who embodies the spirit of what this community looks for in it's members, and in this years case, it's leaders. Not only that, but it appears that a three way draw exists this year!

Between the three nominees of Fable, Buck Satan, and Aegis, all three accumulated enough votes to be neck and neck, even with late coming votes sidling in, it wasn't enough to break the tie. With such a showing of admiration to the these three members, it only seems fair to honour them, for what they've contributed to the community.

Buck Satan: The owner and creater of Gamebanshee, and SYM. If it weren't for his free time, and obvious boredom, we never would've come here, and caused the amount of trouble we have. For that, Buck is given the lifetime Acheivement award.

Fable: No Moderator is as omnipresent as this man. Some would say he never really leaves the forums, as he always seems to appear when a moderator is needed. As a wealth of information, and as a community leader, Fable is given the lifetime acheivement award.

Aegis: A moderator, a spammer, and a thinker in one. The Jack of All Trades on the boards, committing himself, along with his fellow mods to Making SYM as good as it may be. He is awarded the lifetime acheivement award.

Actually, early on, I was expecting buck to simply sweep that one. The Acheivement award surprised the hell out of me as well. The only one I was expecting to do moderatly well in was the funniest member, oddly enough. :o

Thank you, thank you! I'd like to thank fable and C Elegans, without whom I would likely not have been able to ran.. er.. post nearly as much.. Also I'd like to thank DW for being friendly and encouraging me to stay; and last, but certainly not least, Buck Satan for promoting me to moderation and further extending my domain of evil. :D

Good night everyone!

I came here today, expecting to only make a tango show with my sheep, and now I go home with a Golden Banshee in my hands... Its... awesome. I never felt like that before, I'm gonna fly high in my dreams tonight.
I wanna thank Brynn, TM, CM, BS, DW, Fable, Buck, Aegis, Magrus, Vicsun, Giles, Maxi (yes, Maxi), ik, VonDondu, Scayde, Fiberfar, Rob hin (we miss your jokes), Werebeargoddess, CElegans, Mah, Weasel, AC, and all the others for your neverending support, and for voting me. If you havent voted for me, burn in hell, but yes, I thank you too for your support.
I'd also wanna tank my mother, my dad, my sheep and my sister for helping me with food when I was a youngster. And to the owner of the pictured eye, Tuh, who posts in a brazilian forum.

*Tears of happiness*
