As if drunkenness and sense went well together in the first place... :p
As if drunkenness and sense went well together in the first place... :p
When I'm drunk, I lose all of my personal inhibitions to not doing things other people care about. Normally, the only reason I don't is because I know it will cause trouble by doing certain things. When I'm drunk, I think "Screw 'em, they can take it or piss off." Doesn't work too well in public....

Whats odd about me with drinking, I don't end up a horny drunk. I've noticed most people do. No, I'm a loud drunk, that babbles about things that no one else is willing to talk about. That and I chase cats.

You chase cats while drunk?
Don't back them into a corner then...they fight back, or so I hear.

An even better approach (that I prefer) is make the first drink or two something you really like, then go for the crap. Starting off with a high shelf Mexican Martini from Trudy's sets the best mood. Anything after that you won't be tasting (well I won't at least).

Sober too. It is just more fun drunk. Why not? It's good exercise, and I can't catch them. Too friggin fast. I just tend to chase cats when I see them wandering around outside because I want to bring them home with me.

@ Darzog, That works. Although, when I decide to get hammered, I cease caring what it tastes like to be honest. If I drink to enjoy the drink I make, I drink good stuff. If I drink to get drunk, it doesn't much matter. *shrugs* I've taken a cup of 1/3 Bartons vodka 2/3 coke, and then another cup of straight vokda and ice, and double fisted it before. Shot, chaser, shot, chaser, shot, chaser...drunk....

I don't get horny. I get social, but not horny. I probably get more dopamine than endorphins in the stimulant phase of drunkenness. In terms of knowing what's going on, at the time I'm pretty aware. Depending on what I drink, though, I'll forget details the next day. Usually it's tequila that does that to me, so I limit myself in that area.

P.S.: Wine bottle #1 is officially empty. I'm going to wash some dishes, and then crack bottle #2. From pinot noir to sauvignon blanc, baby.

P.P.S.: I noticed and snipped a good quotation for those of you looking to exploit the text of the inebriated:

Yeah, I don't get drunk just for the sake of being hammered anymore, and even in school didn't do it much. I much prefer the deep end of a buzz to being truely hammered.
Anyway, I'm off to Korea tomorrow morning so I'll be very sporatic next week. Have a good weekend everyone.

Heh. You could chase pigeons too...they eventually fly out of reach.

@ Rav, not many of those around here. Lots of seagulls, but it's against the law to harm them, as they are endangered. Even though there are enough of them around here to bomb Iran with poo in and of themselves... I don't chase dogs, as dogs want to kill me. Evil things those...they don't react to me like anyone else. No...they jump at me and want to tear my throat out. Can't say how many dogs have snapped chains to launch themselves at me that I've had to punch or kick until they go away.

@ Aramant, Tequila does it to me too....bad night that night. I went after the same girl that ended up sobbing my lap after my buddies failed threesome actually that night. Which was really bad, considering I called her to come over to his place that he was renting out with his new girlfriend, the one that kicked the first girl out...yeah...there was a cat fight that night.

@ Darzog, Yeah....I've slowed down on that myself. It has most definately lost most of it's appeal lately. Have a good trip!

Not many pigeons? Wow, you;re lucky. Around here, you can't go outside without seeing one. You can walkk right up to them without fazing them a bit. And they even put spikes on signs just to stop them sitting on them...
I live next to the sea and the gulls are still way outnumbered by them.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't suggest chasing dogs. That's just asking for hospitalisation... :p

Either I'm too drunk or you're too drunk, but much of the grammar there didn't make sense to me.

Meh, it makes sense in my head, but sometimes it doesn't come out properly...problems with my attention wandering while speaking/typing.

Let's see, the girl who ended up in my lap after that failed threesome which I posted about previously, her name was Andrea. Her ex-boyfriend was Kevin, and his new girlfriend was Kate. After that incident, Kevin and I moved out of that apartment, and he moved in with kate. Kevin and Kate invited me to a party, and we did Tequila shots. A lot of people were there, and someone mentioned inviting some more people, Kate said that was a great idea. Being that I was full of Tequila, and horny, and Andrea was single, and had on previous occasions hit on me, I called her up and invited her over. Well...I was drunk, and ignored the fact that Kevin didn't want her around and Kate was still upset with the both of them about the three-some incident. Andrea came over thinking everything was ok, and huge nonsensical argument broke out. Kevin and Kate's roommate Scott, our friend Justin and I all resumed drinking and watched the fight and giggled to ourselves.

I hope that makes sense, I'm tired and story telling doesn't work well with tired.

Makes enough sense to me. Drama + over-sensitive girls + alcohol = HA HA HA HA.

I'm the same way. A nice, deep buzz is good for me; even being only slightly buzzed is pretty nice, if you ask me. Getting very hammered can be a bit of a pain.

*nods* Essentially the point yes. I think we ended up playing video games and bashing girls until 4 am or so drunk out of our minds that night to be honest. It was like 2 1/2 years ago though, and I was really drunk. It's all blurry.

Getting extremly drunk is something I indulged in, and recently lost the interest for. Drunk is fine, but getting so drunk you can't talk or walk properly isn't. I do like a nice buzz when I just sit around and relax though.

One thing about having "taste" is that you stop drinking when your wallet's empty rather than when you throw up/pass out/fall down etc. Me, I get drunk pretty quick, but I can hold my functionability for a loooong time afterward.
One thing about having "taste" is that you stop drinking when your wallet's empty rather than when you throw up/pass out/fall down etc. Me, I get drunk pretty quick, but I can hold my functionability for a loooong time afterward.
My biggest problem is I can keep up my "social" functionability up way past black-out time. I mean, people tell me I was having fairly intelligible conversations that I utterly don't remember.

And then I pass out.

I once passed out in the middle of flirting... :o

Trouble is before I do the passing out everyone misjudges my state of drunkenness and so thinks I'm capable of doing more things than I'm actually capable off (like finding the way home, driving a short distance,...) and that has landed me in trouble.
