I don't think anyone took offence...just saying such stuff makes you a good target for us... ;)

So, I'm guessing no-one's around and I should probably go get something to eat or suchlike. :o

Tsk, even the newbies demand respect these days... ;)
And yet no-one gives me any. :( :p

I think the respect thingy is based on the conversation 7 pages back (so yesterday when I wasn't present and more than probably was if not sleeping at least lying in my bed) when Gunofgod reached his fiftieth post and (in jest) demanded respect since he was from then on an exalted member.
I don't know what he means by the kind of respect I offer, but it might be related to a remark of mine in a far and distant past in this thread (some days ago IRL) when I explained to him that initiation in the SF means that you get abused and take it as a man, or something in that vein.

@Fiona, it wouldn't happen to be blind by any chance?

@Lestat, I didn't think we had properly initiated Gunofgod here. What was his task and the required gift? :p

When the dark flames of the flamethrower posters get around it is time for a jet of water to run across the screen.

So...

Yeah, that was considered both the initiation and the gift. :D

@Luis, who's the target for your water cannon there? :p
(Or is it a pressure hose? *waits for Hill to appear a make a comment* )
Need any help there?

And if you thought that Ravvy was flaming, that's simply impossible. He can't flame, for criminy's sake, he's even appalled at the idea of my eating bunn-ay's. ;)
