All this talk about Castraati got me thinking about something:

How did people in the 17th century castrate people?
They did not have the technology we use today, so did they do it the hard way (A knife), or the easy way (A hammer)? Or maybe they even used another metod?

First off watch your step on this one.... mods might say tis too graphic... the easy way is a hammer!?! You sick freak! the eazy way involves a hammer and chisel ... knock the patient out so they wont feel it, and then... proceed.
