The text in question was "the problems of philosphy" by bertrand russel, i have not used the dictation program since seventh grade almost three years ago. The above text was the result of my untrained profile. It takes awhile to train it to an accurate program btu once you do it is worth it.

Don't excuse yourself for typo's if they provide an occasion for entertainment and microsoftbashing. And why do you drop -me, to humour the 'ricains? ;)

Bye Tony.

@Lestat, I'm always up for Microsoftbashing. :D
Where to start even?
One computer I use keeps inexplicably going to the Blue Screen of Death for instance. It only seems to happen when I use that computer. I blame Microsoft software though. :p
And why do you drop -me, to humour the 'ricains?
Sorry? I really don't get that. Tiredness or something. :rolleyes:

Out of the Frying Pan, Onto the Serving Plate.

He was realy screwed now, Gur couldn't figure out what to do. Having just escaped the basement levels where he was being held for a 'trial' by the local cartel, he had been caught and was currently being dragged before the kingpin himself for sentencing, wether he would be let off easy with the simple punishment of amputation, or wether Kul'Mak thought that decapitation was in order, Gur had no idea.
***
Dis was running out of time, she could see Gur being dragged across the courtyard towards the dining hall by three of the biggest Quintor Gaurdians she had ever had the misfortune to encounter, she could maybe take out one, two if she was lucky, with her bow before raising the alarm, her dwarven spheres were out of the question as Gur would be obliterated with the Gaurdians... Time was running out. She needed a diversion that would distract the other gaurds sprawled across the grounds. Thats it! I can throw a sphere against the far wall, hopefully causing it to collapse, then I can run, grab Gur and sneak back out through the East Gate. "Well, here goes nothing" Dis whispers. She chucks the sphere towards the wall, it lodges in an empty torch bracket... 5.4.3.2.1... The explosion rocked the grounds, the concussion wave leveled every gaurd still standing. Gur was lying senseless on the ground, Dis dispatched the few remaining conscious Gaurdians with a few swift arrows, grabbed Dis and made her way out the East Gate and towards the Forest and the secret rendevous point, Gur had to meet with the leaders of the resistance immediatley.

You wrote program instead of programme (so US spelling instead of UK spelling). So I thought you were humouring our American friends (and the highlighting of the u in humour was to stress another little difference between UK & US spelling). Oh, and 'ricain is a French (derogatory or slang) term for Americans (but basically shortened form of Américain).

Uh Phreddie, there is a Fan Fiction forum somewhere... ;)

@Lestat, we normally spell program the American way when referring to computer software. I don't know anyone who refers to it with the UK spelling anyway.
Ah, I thought the 'ricain might refer to the Americans, didn't know it was French though.

@Demo, you're going to balance things out a little? :D

Rav, you're right. Apparently you Brits do recognise (note the s) that computerprograms are anything but British, and thus refer to them with an American word.

Although you are right, that American spelling is accepted in the computer world, there are a lot of British people who are unhappy about it. I gather that the French have an official body to defend the language against anglo saxon incursions. The UK does not have that but there is concern, particularly in the older generation.
