does that nullify the two mages on me casting the following spells:

symbol: death
symbol: fear
symbol: stun
melf's acid arrow
protection from magic weapons
stoneskin
improved invisibility

Just my opinion but these two seem fairly occupied to move to the other side of the battle to cast true sight and a couple of fireballs. I guess not, it's plausible.

Why do I feel like this is a debate when it should be fun. I hate confrontation. :( i'm not good at it. remember use smilies. :)

@Nippy, yeah. the story ned has kinda lost it.

Are the cows gonna get fried by the chain lightning or has Gwally written them in the clear. If not, medium rare please.

Also, I'm :( :( :( the rodeo skeleton warriors bit the dust. They were having so much fun.

Ned!! :D lol!! I am the worlds worst for complaining about lack of smilies!! I am sorry, my friend, this is no debate *hug* I was more concentrated on trying to understand :)

The best person to determine would be Mysteria :)

For all animal lovers - the cows are in the clear IMO ;)

See gentlemen, it's just that easy. :D **of course, hugs in return**

no discussing back and forth with Ysh about how many of the enemy we're currently fighting.

Unfortunately, I'm one of those detail oriented structure types who believes everything should fit together perfectly. Perhaps I wouldn't be so concerned if it wasn't my initial posts laying down all this drow business. Anyway, ne'er you fret young lady. Just keep reading although I'd advise you to sit down. I'm really afraid for the cows and Gwally is having delusions of beef strongonoff. :rolleyes: :p

Sorry about the long post, Viv. Ned has already jumped all over me for that one.... :( :p

@Ysh: I like your summary. I would also point out that just because the Drow leader calls for a mage to cast a fireball or to move up front, doesn't mean that they are able to! If, for example, a vampire kills them before they can follow orders, then all is right with the world again!

I read it as Simbul casting magic missiles.

@Ned: I think Gwally has gotten most of the cows away from the fight, not too far away, but out of the range of the area-spells. I suppose there might be one or two cows that got cut off from the rest in the chaos....

Gwally,

Excellent post about the not being able to follow orders bit. That does make sense.

Can't we save the skeleton warriors though. :( :( :( Doesn't anybody share my sadness. I.....loved those guys....man :( :( If only tears could transcend an electronic message, my pain would be felt. :rolleyes:

Truly you can't mean me. Perhaps you're not looking close enough. There's still one petal left on that rose in your hand. :) ;)

try to figure this one more time

After reading and rereading and reading comments in the disucssion thread, here are some ideas to try to get us all on the same page:

2 mages in back dealing with me and only me.

2 mages towards cow side (like lee side except bovine) caught in Ysh insect storm

priestesses commands: true sight, death spell, and chain lightning all go off between mysteria and nippy's post so how about:

1 mage in middle squeezes off chain lightning followed by death spell (cries again over skeleton warriors)

1 priestess cass mass heal followed by true sight (simbul simu is revealed)

1 priest cast pro from good and then grabs a mirror to check her hair.

1 assassin going after our hakeshear (how many others)??

Multiple drow warriors levitating right now armed with crossbows (I think I'm going to resurface and add a little more carnage -- look out below) :eek:

totals
mages = 5 (mage in middle casting chain lightning and death spell is female)
priestesses = 3
assassins = 1 + ???
warrirors = 13

This seems to cover it all. We'll presume the priestesses command for fireballs never gets answered (and Viv does a little dance as the cows are saved) :D :cool:

Am I omitting anything. Whew. **winded** Who brought beer today.

I think you have too many clerics.
Ysh pointed out that leader may be mage.
Assassin may not be assassin-class, rather a warrior sent to assassinate. (yes, I know Mysteria called him an assassin...) :rolleyes:
Wouldn't the Hakeshear, as a summoned critter, have been taken out by the Death Spell?
I thought the cows went through the 'back' (ned's side) and are behind the fight? :o

Man, you always look down on everything I say. :D ;) T'l was able sneak in a post. I take it back gwally.

Most drow females are either priestesses, mage/priestess, or sacrifice meat. Even then, there aren't too many mages who are female.

Mysteria definitely pointed out two priestesses: one casting mass heal/true sight, and another casting pro good. Plus there was a female leader. I just presumed her to be a priestess. If she is a mage instead, then subtract one from my priestess total and add one to my mage total. Or, she could be the mage-ette who cast the chain lightning and death spell, however, it was my impression the leader was just barking orders. Wait til they're really losing the battle and a balor shows up.

@T'l,

I was up so late last night with morrowind, about 2:30 a.m. CST to be exact. It was so late when I went to bed beldin, eerhardt, and ode were beginning to spam and drink away. Lots to catch up, maximum carnage, and lots of fun. get caught up, and start writing, get in a couple of whacks yourself. :D

Of course, thanks for the beer. As always, payback will be tenfold. It should be no other way when sharing beverages.
