Actually, yes. Contrary to popular American belief, you guys did not join either war until the bitter end. Canadians were famed for our valor and loses, and our great many victoires (specifically Vimy Ridge and the historic battle at Paeshendale) and were eventually the shock troops of war, usually called upon to go 'over the top' in trench warfare.

Canadians went in ill equiped for world war II, carrying badly supplied clothing and the Ross rifle, a gun succeptable to overheating and get mud in it while firing too quickly. Origianlly, the professional tropps to be sent over were kept as back up. After our first loss in world war one, Canada learned a great many lessons. It was Canadians who first faced against gas and chemical warfare, mustard gas being the first, killing amny canadians and mortally wounding many more, for those who did not soak a cloth in urine and hold it to their mouths. Nothing could be done for the eyes, however.

Canadians were also the victims of the slaughter at Hong Kong, where all Canadian forces save a few for slave labour were either killed in action or executed afterwards.

If you want, I can give you a detailed synopsis of Candian wartime efforts...? It was we who made the Peacekeeping force, a suggestion by Nobel Peace Prize winner Prime Minister Pearson, and only Canada and Austria have taken part of every peacekeeping effort to date.
Ok. You guys are still wimps though. :p

*sings O Canada in the background* Ah, Tony. Prepare to feel a sharp pain in right between your eyes in a few.

Ah, THAT look. :D

I love pretty much all tea. Chai is my favourite, I also like Earl Grey and some fruit teas by Tetley are quite nice... I can't remember the company, but there's this type of tea you can only get in the US called "Sweet Dreams." I first discovered it in Alaska and then nicked some from those trays they give you in restaurants when I was in Arizona. :D It's very nice. :)

Oh ehck why are we fighting? We've been brothers in arms for many years; who we should really be fighting are the French whom I'm almost sure we both hate (I know americans do). We invented the car, you guys put cottage cheese on your French fries: who's to say which is a better or more important invention? :D
Come, share a labatt's with me, I'll wear the bear costume.

:( All the jokes are against Newfoundland and Quebec. And Paul Martin.

Do all Americans stereotype like you two do? There's nothing wrong with French people.

Newfies came to canada (make a note, Canada, not our oh so wonderful neighbours :p ) in 1949. They have a lot of Celtic decent, so it stands to reason that heavy drinkers have problems keeping up with them.

*brightens*

I met my current SO in a pub in the maritimes. Funny, we were friends, and had heard of each other before, and barely two hours after knowing each other, we had a contest to see who could drink each other under. I mentioned this somewhere before, methinks.

I won by a slim margin. :D

Canadians were the foremost users of cars for many years. We used them a full ten years before Americans got into the act.

Beer brewed by Labatt was actually bought from Molson Canadian. Our french fries were made by the actual french. :D Anything else you want me to correct? For example, did you know that Edison was actually a resident in Canada, in Bannok, New Brunswick?

Ummm but Canadians didn't invent the automobile is what I meant, I know Labatt is a Canadian beer and I don't care where Edison lived. :D

I suppose I'll stop with the stereotypes, it's getting late and I snese I've struck a nerve and should back away... Slowly... :speech:

Aye, sure seems so, nice and warm at the moment, EH? I don't see whats so funny about Canadian Geese. Perhaps its becuse of a series of mysterious events that leave stains on American shirts, eh?

Too bad after the Chinook is gone, it will be back to being a friggin barren wasteland again. Eh? :D

Chus, we hope that you will sleep too. :D
