I guess it's up to you. I am not real sure what the positives are to being a vampire other than looking sick! It sucks not being able to go outside. The cure is really hard I must say. It is all up to you. I would seek the cure.

ok well ive just became a vampire (an argonian one at that) and i love it i mean im doing all these stealthy missions so far (probebly at the end ive finished theives guild and dark brother) and the nightvison is an absolute blessing and the fact i hav immunities to poison, disease, paralyse and i can breath underwater without use of a ring just means i have so much more space, also ive taken the advice of a previous poster and bought the house on the waterfront and feed off of the begger :) i personally never really feel the downsides of the vamperism as i love to feed, it makes my stats larger

i must admit at the start all my friends said it was a hassel and i shouldnt become one but i just love vamperism. also its funny when your killed by the sun and suddenly realize your a vampire and you forgot about the sun lol

Yes!

I make all of my characters a Vamire eventually!

When you feed, as long as you don't rest, you can actually go for days without taking sun damage. I feed, then do a load of quests until I can lay down and level two or three times at once, which means more and more vamp attributes and abilities.

Also, after feeding, fast travel does not make you need to feed again, no matter how far you travel, or the time of day. I have a current level 32 custom Assassin character, majoring in blade, light armor, sneak, security, alchemy, armorer and destruction, who has been a vampire since level 6. He hasn't ever had any problems. If I need to feed and it's day light, I wait until about 2 am then break into a house, usually in Leyawiin is easiest, and sucks a few necks. Mrs. Plotius has been bitten over a hundred times.

In short: There is feeding you must keep track of, but if you refrain from resting you will not neet to feed often! The abilities and powers of a vampire often outway the negatives! Don't try to sleep for a week just to see what powers you'll get!

That will ruin the desired level up (it's hard to count the skill increase when you get 2 or more level ups)
There is nothing you can't do, at least if you have enough patience to keep trying.

I've actually never gotten more than two levels at once. It really didn't do much at all, because the skill boosts were, for the most part, minor skills. And my stats could use the boost, honestly. :/ I hadn't put points in strength until level 20+ because I was an assassin who specialized in marksmanship and sneaking with chamelon effects.

Anyway, like I said, vamping has a few detrimental aspects, but has some amazing benefits as well if you really try. Personally, I can't stand not having the Hunter Sight ability, and it makes my eyes ache using a torch. I don't use magic much, I can't ever find a good balance for melee when my magicka runs out and I get two or three attackers on me. Hunter's sight is a very low cost spell that gives you Night-Eye and Lifesense (was it 120 feet?) for about 30 to 60 seconds. Just that ability is worth the feeding problem, in my bood.

And I think the aging thing makes my characters look dignified older, not hideous old hag. Besides, if you use heavy armor and try for the best stuff, you'll end up using full helms and all anyway... >.>

If it's on normal/higher, you'll spend a lot of magicka -just like what Argonian Thief said- to keep your health full all the time, without the help of rest and/sleep
sorry for the late reply, i dont look much upon this forum cuz my cd keeps freezing and is too damaged to play...
i always play onhardest and thats kinda too easy for me...
ive got loads of patience and my guys are usually max level so i only have to train my skills... being a vampire is great imo, especially if ypur max level cuz resting is useless anyway and it give a nice stats boost. the weakness to fire is nothing cuz im usually immune to magic(whats in a mundane ring? :) )
besides, the immune to poison/disease ring is a total waste of space cuz theres way better rings
