why does everyone blame Canada?

Anyone in Canada seen "Talking to Americans"? Let the Americans make fun of us, eh?

I'm from Canada, and I don't care if anyone makes fun our country. I get the magazine Computer Gaming World and they opened up a "Canadian Corner" in their letters section to make fun of Canadians. At first, we were royally pissed of, but after 2 or 3 month everyone was laughing. They shut it down after a few months, but I the last issue they had a "map" called "The world according to Americans". I won't get into details to insult anyone, but it was funny! Also they got a letter from the so-called canadian "Department of foriegn letters". I was a letter of apology to the magazine for the angry complaints of some Canadians. It said that free health care and firearms laws were something many americans are scared of, like the canadian fright of southern americans and american teenagers. Quite funny.

Well i really don't care. I don't mind makign fun off Americans, since it is so much fun.

But it is true, the Americans will get mad, patriots and all, and they will flame, and blame canada for it, and they will sing their national anthem, and say "god bless america" but what can you expect from people who voted for a monkey as their president.
Oh waaaait, they never voted for him, he just walked in and said he won't leave even after the world's critics, columnists made fun off him and "flamed" him.
I guess he's either a really tough guy and can take the insults or he's really dumb and doesn't get the jokes on him. I would go with the latter.
Anyway i'm not some crazy patriotic person so if there was ever a war or soemthing i would just run off somewhere and let the patriots die fighting.

i still don't understand where the idea of canada being blamed for soemthing came from? i have NEVER heard of this. i know plenty of people that may not like canada, and lots of people who make fun of them, but what on earth is there to blame them for?

I have a good friend on the 'Net from Canada, and I don't have a problem with her...

I've been to Canada... actually I've stood half in Canada and half in the US... and I have also rolled around in a Canadian wheat field and made my own crop circle.

I would also like to know what we are blamed for???? Well everyone has there point on what is a good country and what is bad. But people think outside of the box. You could be in some war torn country and have nothing but the underwear you have on and have no house or any kind of help with medicare. So be happy Canada or America that we get to live in some kind of freedom.

I'd take my family, my money, my friends if i could, other loved ones and off we go. there are many places to live in.

Anyway don't take me too seriously most things are a joke for me. Not only in SYM bit in real life too. Some my friends take things i say too seriously. Maybe they lack a sense of humor

Seriously, I've never heard Canada being blamed for anything particular at all? I've travelled a lot and still do, and I work with people from 30-40 different countries, but I've never heard anyone blame Canada. For what???

There was a stupid South Park movie in which there was a war between U.S and Canada, and a song called "blame canada".

It was just a comedy but people take things to seriously.
