That seems like a very complicated strategy  The thing that always worked for me is this: find a weapon with Crushing Blow - enter - whack whack - drink some red or purple potions - whack some more - reap the rewards. Effective, easy and quick ;)

Yeah! Finally I found a place wherepeople re talking aboutsome serious strategics how to kill durel... I made a new character as a Paladin and now I'm lvl 26, life 227 and the best equipment that money can buy(well, in the actII conitions..), and a kickass lvl9 thorns and lvl7 zeal. And I have died like tens times at his chamber! Does someone has some clues for paladin too?

I didnt find him hard at all when i played with my paliden. I cant remeber what my stats were but all my skill points are on thorns and i think i had like 12 thorns maybe more. But when i had to fight him i opened a town portal just when i enter and run through if my character is about to die or if my henchman is going to die.

yes, the basic boss strategy as a melee character is to stock up on potions and so forth, enter and cast town portal immediately, and when you're low on potions and health, get out and repeat. it's not big and it's not clever, but it's got me through normal difficulty with many different characters.

duriel was rather tough the first time with my necromancer, but I got my hands on a very good missile weapon and used my minions to fend him off. not very cunning, but I was dying a lot and it worked.

Are you at Nightmare difficulty? If so, I understand your problems with Duriel. If you are still in normal, Duriel should be a piece of cake with a lvl 26 pally.

What weapon do you use, how much damage do you do and what is your attack rating? What is it that you die from, is it his Charge attack directly when you enter the chamber, or is it later during the fight?

What build are you planning to make, a Zealot? Zeal and Thorns are not optimal together. If you plan to use Zeal as your main attack, Fanaticism, Conviction or Sacrifice are better choices. You can also make variants like the Frost Zealot who uses Holy Freeze.

I had then a socketed flail [5-27(4 to minimal) and gemmes, runes and charms gave some quite nasty poison damage too]. I've been thinking to put some points to holy freeze too, yes, but i've been adding them recently to defensive auras. I should hit a fallen 95 percent.
When I enter the cave, then usually he attacks my mercenary and kills him with 20 sec. In the meantime, I'm busy hacking him. Then he turns to me, 1/4 hitpoints gone, and starts with a charge, that takes half of my hit points. Then Duriel uses his cold attack and I'm crawling towards of townportal, screaming. Well this was then... Now in my (paladin's) homeland, I've alot of more experience (in both means) and ready for the eldest of the prime evil.
