Well firstly we will have to find a writer of Saigo's talent. I am not even sure if anybody knows where he is. I know for a fact Magus is an excellent writer. I could pm him. But I agree what kind of story should it be?

The history of Azeroth can be found here.

Considering only the three of us (I am including Xandax as it would be sad to limit our genius to only two people :p ) have shown an active interest should we go ahead and brain storm a bit?

Sure... I don't have anything else to do than wait for the BETA... I'm gonna read some Azeroth history... I really like the idea though of the banshee's being the descendants of some great fighting legue and a school of weaponry really fits that story nicely...

Aegis has also been known to do some nice writing... maybe we could involve him somehow...

Agreed on both counts. I like Saigo's take on things and I agree that Aegis is a good writer. I am actually reading the lore or history right now.

Shall we put a views forward on monday? Firstly it will be ages before anything comes out plus we have no clue that we will get into the beta. Thirdly we gotta take this slow as we dont want a repetition of what happened with NWN.

I still have all the stuff that was posted on my website in the days of old if you want it CM/Fas (or another associated person), including the bios of all people etc.
There wasn't, however, developed much lore or legends about the "BoTB" concept, besides what is posted in this thread.

I also still have the wonderfull "logo" I made in the old days with some program: BoTB
(EDIT: was the wrong one *duh* )

As for server, I see no reason why the guild couldn't "coexist" on both US and EU servers if the need indeed arose. Afterall - BoTB was not intended to be anything more then a place to game with some fun, responsible and mature people which one knew from somewhere. So if GB'ers wish to form the guild up at US servers then go right ahead - although sticking to the original "concept" (maturity and responsibility and most of all - fun) would be nice. I'd hate to have the BoTB name dragged through mud or similar, but afterall - it isn't a registred trademark :D
it isn't a registred trademark :D
Yae.. we are going to have to do something about that... :p

@Cas, yae let's wait a couple of days and see what happens. There is alot of history to read about Azeroth and any ideas that we come up with while reading will just have to sink in for a while before we expose them... if we get any ideas that is :p

Fine with me. So monday or later. As for a US server i personally would be happy if the name was given on the condition that we had a person we knew on the other side "incharge" of the american brotherhood. It would be extremely problematic if there was a split.

Plus I demand to be incharge of the Paladin section of the BotB if there is one :p

Xandax what do you have on the BotB exactly? If you could zip everything and e-mail it to me it would be great. My e-mail address is fascmsid@yahoo.com and faisalcmsiddiqui@hotmail.com, it is greater than 2 mb send it to yahoo and if it is greater than 100 tell me and i will sen dyou my work e-mail.

Edit: Btw i already found something that will work great for BotB it is on the second page of the lore about the Guardians against the burning legion. But that is just an off of the top of my head kinda thing.
Plus I demand to be incharge of the Paladin section of the BotB if there is one :p
Hehe...I take it you want to be a paladin then? :p I'm actually a bit torn of what my first char will be... either an elven sorceress called Aleachim or a Fighter dwarf called garazdawi. Anyways I'm off to read some lore... talk to you guys later...

I have only played Paladins in my life. In argyle all i played was Paladins until they said no more. Any RPG i play a paladin or its equivalent. So yes i am gonna play a Paladin :p

Personally after reading the lore my Paladin would be placed in Storm if it still exists. I am on Chapter 3. I must say that they have a nice done with the lore. They have used alot of cliches and popular ideas but they have re-done them in a fashion where you really dont notice it. Definitely fun to read :)

E-mail sent to the Yahoo account, a zipfile of about 800K.

Let me know if it gets through, or there is any problems with it.

Got it, downloaded it and checked it out. You still have everything which is pretty cool. Plus i love the emblem or logo with the fiery sword. That is just cool. You make that?

Not two hours into your first day at work and you are already on GB :p Thanks. It is a pretty good logo. If only we can get an ingame emblem.

Well, it just happens this is one of the few MMO's I'm considering playing, so depending on my financial situation come November, you might have another person to bolster your ranks...

I do believe the date has been set somewhat in November. There was a thread on it in the Battle.net forums.

Well - as I said - I'll most likely try it out, but how much and how long depends on if it "grips" me.
I would not mind leaving DAoC behind, but WoW needs to be a better game in my oppinion before I change fully

Righto. So we are working on the history here. What shall we start off with? Shall we rework the entire history?

Hmm... I think that we should, but I do like the basic epic idea that sagio has and would like to have something similar. I cannot seem to find a place though in the history that the exact story that sagio uses (only changing the names) fit in... you said before that you had a spot... where was that?
