my question is, is it worth placing my spare points maybe like 5 or something onto berserk or should i just save them for iron skin/natural resist

I don't think so Barbarian, but it also depends what gear you have. You should however have enough +skills to have a sufficient Berserk. You should not need to put more than 1 point in Natural resist or Iron skin.

One point in Berserk, I have found, regardless of +skills, is sufficient.

If you have a Tal, Shael and Pdiamond then upgrade the Twitchthroe in your cube, it will have 140-160 defense then, plus the stats or better than those of the rare.

Do you have a Twitchthroe, @Barbarian? If not, I would choose the 1st of the two armours you posted. What level are you now and what is your other gear?

For levelling in the beginning of the game, full Sigon is always nice for a melee char.

It is a twitchthroe. I started a new character on single player, so all the equipment is crap.

Look to the Arreat Summit for all you needs:

Thanks for the cube recipes.

I was wondering how does the pdiamond, sheal, and tal recipe work, for example on a twitchthoe and on a shadowfang?

It will upgrade the item class, but not the item itself. Eg if you put a Gull dagger in the cube together with the required runes and gems, it will be upgraded from a dagger to a poignard, with an increase in damage. It will not make it a Spineripper (exceptional unique poignard), but just upgrade the base item type. The same for Twitchthroe: it will be upgraded to Trellised Armor, and the only difference between an upped and non-upped TT is the defense rating: upped has 163-176, and non-upped has 57-60 defense. A normal Shadowfang has 16-34 2H damage. With the recipe it will be upgraded to an Espandon, and will do 36-80 2H damage.

Yep, that's pretty much much it. Though I'm not sure if the requirements increase.

The requirements do increase, so be sure to check them out prior to upgrading.

Thanks again.

I found these 2 bows for my mercenary. Which one would be better?

Unique Long bow: Raven Claw
5-16 dmg
fire lvl 3 explosive arrows
50% bonus to attack rating
+3 to strength and dex

Or
A rare bow
5-11 dmg
83 AR
18% more dmg to demons
33 AR aganist demons
21 psn dmg over 4 secs
10% psn resist

Should I use a 58 defense twitchthroe or a 92 defense darkglow?

Dont worry to much about it, the difference between the armors and bows that you mention is very small. You will soon find better items anyway.

I'm always partial to twitchthroe though, its a cute armour. :)

@Barbarian: When you are done with your Twitchthroe, you can put it on your Rougue merc for IAS, if you plan to keep her.

hmmm... a barb..

id have 20 ww, shout, b.o., sword mastery, synergies for ww.
dont go too crazy with skill points in Iron Skin (or none at all, shout is better) or NR. maybe 5 skill points since finding +skill items is easy. Have alot of Str/Dex and a decent bit of Vit. sorry to be so vague...(cant spell) As far as itmes go, id try to get a CCB and/or a Grandfather or whatever other swords fit our preference. runewords are nice too.... For armor id get Enigma (just to be annoying) or immortal kings armor, or arkianes valor. Helms, get Arreats Face or a vamp gaze. for a belt, get string of ears or something with leech/ed. bul kathos rings are nice and sojs coudlnt hurt. For an ammy, get +barbarien skills or mana leech. boots, get war travelers. IK armors are a good choice ofr a barb if you cant think of anything. im not that good on building barbs but heres my advice.

@SK: Did you read the thread? The guy have just asked for advice about whether he should use a Raven claw or a rare bow that does 5-11 in damage, what do you mean with "Get enigma"? Do you think there are many Jah runes around if you are using a raven claw? Do you have any idea how hard it is to get an enigma if you do not trade for duped runes or use bots?
