about 160'000 I think it was. But it doesn't take that long because you just to instance runs and get loads of XP. It's the levels before 59 that are the slow ones as you are to low level to get into most of the instances.

I'll have to go and check after work what exp you need for lvl 61. It should be about the same as for lvl 60.

When you reach 60, the XP bar shows what is needed to gain 61, although you'll not advance towards it.

well in a way that does make me think they'll raise the level cap, they probably have it already ready and are waiting to like get it to a higher level

Not really. It is purely graphical - they can't remove the bar (well, they could, but why would they), and they can't let it display as a full L59-bar because you have "dinged" L60.
So what else to do with the bar, other then displaying "gain until L61"? You don't gain XP towards L61 on the bar (no doubt it is recorded in the database- I would hope, otherwise poor design)
I still strongly doubt there are plans to increase the actual level cap, beacuse there are way to many things which needs to be rebalanced, and they haven't even finished balancing the game for L60.
The only way I see them racing the cap, is by introducing some other mean of level - such as the Hero-classes.

Not very fun if you solo could beat most monsters. Why play a multiplayer game then?

You don't, but the horde can (in theory)

There is a mod called "goldbar" or something like that, that shows a golden exp bar once you've dinged level 60

i know i dunno why but i do go round in groups and 'multiplay' as people say but sometimes i find it better just to go off and like try red quests on myown like when i tried gnomeragan on my own it didnt turn out well but dont you find sometimes tou'd prefer just to go off on your own on the game??

In practice as well. There has been a significant increase of Horde activity lately in IF (on our realm), two rogues (always the same two) keep sneaking in every evening, I bet they are after the king. For some reason, there are much more lvl60 Horde chars then lvl60 allies...

Hehe, a lvl 57 undead rogue was spotted in IF at that big plaza between the Bank and the auction house... suffice to say, he was struck down within seconds
for those that don't know, that area in IF is where most lvl 60 people spend their time between raids

yeah i have noticed alot of horde bodies in my realm but also the alliance used to out number the horde 3 - 1 or something but theres suddenly been a boost in the horde side and their are a lot more horde around than their used to be

My brother (lvl 60 shaman) says it is hard to be a shaman at lvl 60 because there are so many of them, and so few of priests and other core classes

Hehe, in our MC raid we rarely bring more than 2-3 shamans b/c there are no more, but we always bring 7+ priest, 4+ druids and 8+ warriors. I guess my guild is weird in that way, but the shamans are happy as they get loads of loot for almost no dkp at all.
