Ok, I understand what everybody's trying to say. I agree with the idea about starting out as an ordinary Jedi in KotOR III and developing into something greater. Only, how would this happen? Because if Ordinary Jedi simply learns a lot and achieves a lot without having any uncommon talents, it would still leave her/him an ordinary sort of person. And, yes, if the character of KotOR III is to be someone new, they have to be someone epic, meaning they have to be special and not just living proof to "10% of success is talent; 90% is hard work." I know it's quite unflattering and not very ego-boosting to us poor souls, but meh. That's why our little Jedi needs to be wunderkid.
And, just for the record... The Exile was not evil, as so many have already pointed out. But neither was Revan - as Kreia said, Revan didn't fall to the Dark Side. Revan merely had some ideas about something that needed to be done, and she/he wasn't actually too thrilled about the way she/he was going to do it, but that doesn't make her/him a darksider.
one thing kotor3 does NOT need
you could start off being ordinary but have a special ability that nobody was fully aware of yet and doesn't get noticed til your training as a padawan - thats why i'd like to start as a padawan with a master.
Bastila says something about her Battle Meditation not manifesting itself until after Revan had left for the Mandalorian War (when asked about whether or not she would have joined, I think), so the whole "undiscovered talent" is plausible.
Of course, if the game didn't involve saving the whole galaxy from some evil threat, then the character doesn't really have to be any more special than an ordinary Jedi. It could be that you and your Master (or Padawan if you happen to be the Master) are the only Jedi on a planet and have to solve some problem, investigate some mystery, whatever.

I personally think tht u shud start off as a regular padawan learner with a master. You get sent off on a mission to a planet to settle a dispute or sumtin n u n your master get attacked by a bunch of sith. They slaughter your master and batter u but leave u alive. U go back to th council n tell them about what happened. They instruct u to find the sith threat and u get to choose a youngling as your padawan. You would then teach ur padawan your side of the force (ls or ds ie grilling them for killing some1 or telling them to be cruel) and do side quests as the padawan. u then either go and search the galaxy to seek revenge and brutally murder the sith (ds) or bring the sith lord to the council to be judged. So at the end of the game u are either ruler of the sith army or a jedi master placed on the council - New story line and doesn't involve "superman" jedi.
Hmm. Much fear i sense in you. Be mindful of your feelings. Fear is a path to the Dark side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering ...

Basicly it doesn't have to be an epic story. (please tell me if it says it's an epic story during the course of the game)
If it was an epic story it could have had epic events, doesn't have to mean it HAS to have a epic character. And epic refers to a hero or a hero's tale, my idea of the main character that dies and becomes a hero is perfect for a epic story. That doesn't mean he/she has to be allpowerful. It could be an epic event of this "ordinary jedi's" life, doesn't mean he/she is epic just the things that happened to him/her. I think you get my point.

It's not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you.
