I seriously doubt that a 3rd kotor game will not be made. From a business viewpoint it just would not make sense to drop such a succesfull series.
I have not heard anything about a tv series but I have heard about a comic title for star twars knights of the old republic (dont know if it is ongoing or a mini-series).
As for the delay in the game's release ,or any news about it, just keep in mind that lucas specifically put a 3 year delay between the release of all the movies. It is still to early to be worried about the game not being released.

Last year, it was rumoured that kotOR 3 would be shown on the E3 in mai, but that didn't happen, so maybe kotOR 3 will be announced this year on the E3.

Thanks to a tip-off in our video games forums we have uncovered information that indicates that Knights of the Old Republic III will be coming out on the Xbox 360. Word is that a UK gaming magazine printed a list of forthcoming Xbox 360 titles, including KOTOR III, which is reputed to be coming out in the fourth quarter of 2006.
