wonder what the prophecy would say though? It be really cool, finally seeing how this affects the series, but is there more to the prophecy than just a chosen one will appear that will bring balance to the force? Or will there be more to it?

Come to think of it, what if the main character was or is connected mainly through this prophecy? Mistaken as the chosen one, or perhaps a similar but not the same prophecy that was made even before that one?

Wonder howd they fit prophecy into the jedi or siths way of things? It be interesting, cause yoda wasnt really able to see that far into the future. Would your main character be the one who makes the rophecy, or do you have to do something to find or make the prohecy?

Either way thats a really good idea! :D

The Prophecy

Well the Prophecy of the One who would bring Balance in the Force was made far before KOTOR's timeline. Infact, 25,000 years before Episode I, it was Kaja Sinis who originated and founded the Jedi Order, discovering and teaching the ways of the Force from both sides. These original "Jedi Bendu Knights" as they were called at the time were taught to harness both the Light Side and the Dark of the Force, but to serve the Light, which I thought was quite interesting after watching Revan and the Exile unfold. Kaja Sinis also invented the Jedi Holocron and the Lightsaber. Sinis' first apprentice, Shinto Beerus, discovered Sinis' holocrons after Sinis' was slain in the first war effort against Dark Jedi and Sith Lords; the first imbalance. In one of the holocrons contained a recording from Sinis' prophecying the One who would bring balance. Apparently Beerus re-recorded the holocron or something like that, and it was not rediscovered for millenia. It was rediscovered when Yoda was 177. So that's what?.. about 650-700 years before Episode I. Yoda himself was originally believed to be the One who would fulfill the Prophecy, except that he couldn't be because further findings proved that the One would be born of a virgin mother. So as far as the Prophecy goes, there was only this one made, and it was about Anakin and Anakin only. I don't suspect Revan or the Exile would be able to coincide with it in any way. I'd also go out on a limb to say that the reason Yoda couldn't see very far into the future was because doing such brings about pain and suffering. He said it himself to Luke in Episode V. I believe Yoda chooses to avoid the agony that leads to the tremors of the dark side. Anakin himself was made a slave to the dark side by his premonitions of the possible future for Padme. "That path leads to jealousy, and the shadow of greed, that is." I do, however, agree that either Revan, The Exile, or both will come to a greater understanding of the Force, as they are deemed "Echoes that must be silenced", and "terrible wounds" in the stability of the Force and the galaxy. The malice they carry from situations like Malachor V, is believed to reverberate throughout the Force, so I feel that KOTOR III will attempt to either eliminate them, join them, and/or ultimately redeem them within the Force.

didn't know that

Well, I had no idea about all of that other prophecy stuff. But, to keep with the spirit of the thing...what if KOTOR III then assumed that the exile would balance the force and Revan was his/her guide along the way. Ultimately, like yoda as you said, the exile would not be the one to balance the force. But, in discussing the prophecy in the first place, they would have to go into all of the back story of the bendu knights. They kinda did similar things in the tomb scenes and such, but it was usually just for points rather than for story progression. This time however, they could build it up to the ultimate conclusion that the fate of the force and the galaxy would have to be determined in the future, foreshadowing anakin. It might be a stretch, I dunno, but it is possible I think. Plus, if Revan has gone so far off in the galaxy as KOTOR II said, than the possibilities for what he has learned or encountered is limitless. Is it possible that Revan could go back to some of the original bendu training facilities, or find some Templar like Holy Grail of the force gaurding Bendo knight? Again it might be a stretch, but to be honest, it was kinda a stretch how they tied kotor II into Kotor I, at least it seemed disjointed. But, if yoda 'rediscovered' the prophecy as you say, who is to say that Revan did not do the same thing and then believed that the exile was the one to balance the whole thing. They have probelms, obviously, and learn that the prophecy was better left undiscovered. There has been no mention of the prophecy in any of the KOTOR games, so this could be done. And then, we're not just talking about a KOTOR series of movies, but it could instead of foreshadowing anaking, foreshadow yoda. so we could make 6 new episodes 3 for KOTOR and 3 for Yoda's training and finding of the prophecy. The point of the star wars series would no longer be so vadercentric, but forcecentric.

Well when you put it that way...

Indeed they are some stretches, however very clever ones. If a false prophecy was made for Yoda, perhaps it could be tied in with Revan/Exile to put a nostalgic, familiar twist on the next KOTOR, or even for them to become involved with unraveling the Prophecy itself would be interesting. And you nailed it buddy. More SW movies and games sounds damn sweet!

And GO-TO still sucks!

here's a possibility for gameplay then...

If the point of the game was the discovery of the prophecy, who would you play as? If you played as some new character then it would take up too much time to establish your own back story. If you started as Revan or the Exile then it would be the same old thing again = loss of force powers, rediscovery, save the galaxy again. But, what if you were to use another character that was in the first and second installment? What if you played as Bastilla? In Kotor II we saw a cut-scene of bastilla and Karth speaking about Revan. Bastiall and Revan apparently were more involved then the Kotor I storyline could have revealed. So, in a padme and anakin sorta way, Bastilla goes after Revan. In her searching she encounters the exile, and the story goes on from there. It could take many twists from there. Bastilla could have to battle kreia, or even some of the other characters with lose ends. It could make for a very interesting storyline, and possibly, Bastilla could be the one who is supposed to balance the force. So, that dynamic of love driving someone to the dark side could be played off of again. It could make things interesting.

i dont remeber who, but in one of the other threads someone talked about possibly playing as dustil onasi. i think this is a fesible way to reconnect w/ the past characters of KOTOR. this way we'd have to come across carth, who most likely has connections w/ bastila, who probably is looking for revan, who...haha, etc...

but then, what if we wanted to play as a female? they'd have to come up w/ somethin like our player actually being dustil's long lost sister, whom was never mentioned by carth for some mysterious reason...perhaps she dihonored him in some way, rebelled against him...left home to fight for the republic against her daddy's wishes, and happened to follow revan, learning some of the ways of the jedi/sith?

How about it somehow links in with the orignal trilogy like in a cutscene with a character from the trilogy finding an old datapad about the real formation of the republic, and the new founding of the jedi order. then in the game, you are just a normal person walking about on a planet you chose, and are drafted in to help out in the galactic war to save the old republic which is going stagnant, and you train to be a soldier, but don't level up! then, you save a jedi's life in battle, who happens to be Bastilla, and you discover by accident you have some affinity to the force, and the game goes on from there. also the exile problem is solved, he/she is dead and so is revan, killed by the real enemies in the game, the Sith'ari, the perfect beings yuthara talks about in the first game.

OK, all, with the sudden influx of people who want to discuss the plot they want, in the next KotOR, this thread is going to be housing those suggestions, and I will merge any further threads made here. Remember, this thread is for storylines and responses to them only, and not about game mechanics or weapons and similar other items you want in the game. Let's leave those here. ;)

My thoughts r that u should be Revan, and have bastilla in ur party soon after starting...at the FIRST planet u go to, no matter what 1 it is, the exile should join ur party. the story should be the 3 of u (and the others that join u) trying to fix the republic as a jedi, or conqer the galaxy as a sith...

What do you think of this? You are a new charachter which starts off as a jedi. You find T3 in your room in the jedi temple on courascant. T3 has a message from Reven which says that he/she has been attacked by the Sith and he is dying in the outer Rim areas on his/ hers home planet. He/she pleads you to go and tell Carth (Female) or Bastila (male) and gather more troops to finsh what he/she started against the true sith. You have to tell bastila or Carth and get a ship and travel to different planets (Naboo, Alderan, etc, etc) and find the planet of the hidden Sith base. Or if you chose to be a sith you do the exact opposite and destroy the jedi temple instead of the sith base. What do you think people?

Hmm...
I think that it is a bit lacking.
I mean what happened to the exile and his entire crew. And i thought that the jedi counsel had been wiped out by the sith, so there is no way that you could be a jedi in the jedi temple unless some how the jedi poofed out of thin air and decided to build the order again. And i wouldnt think that the true sith would be hiding on any world in the republic. And how do you compensate for revan and the exile being light sided or dark sided.

Please Hear me out on this

Ive been thinking about a storyline for some time now. the idea of starting out as a kid is ok, you could kind of do the same thing that Fable did with the kid to teen to young adult. but to make it fit in, you need to explain revan and the exile. when you are making a char, there are new races; however, you don't chose a class. you also answer some questions in a prolouge. this will set up revan as good or bad (or neither), male or female; and also set up the exile the same way. you start the prolouge off in a new jedi acadamy (on dantooine or someplace like that), and you are learning about history (current) when you say if revan was good or bad. since you are young (not like 3, maybe 10ish), you share a teacher in the acadamy. you get to select what 'classes' to take: force meditation, combat, or focus. depending on which ones you develop, sets up you class (a little more freedom in your char). instead of there being a feat list, you have a feat 'tree' that sets up your path for your epic class (if that is still used). if you start on dantooine, you can wander out to the cave with the crystals (lightsaber). you find a crystal and then one of those spiders attack you. you dont fight it, but a jedi (gonna be your master) saves you, and tells you that you shouldnt be there. now that you have a crystal, you begin making a lightsaber (with no help). the person who saved you finds out and tells you that you are not ready for a 'real' lightsaber (you have a padawn saber= weaker). you can either listen to him (good), or continue (bad) which will set up the color of the lightsaber (blue or red). howver, you make it right away, you become his aprentice and you travel around for a little while. you go from planet to planet(new ones, should be about 15 i think, way too short otherways), learning from your master. you and your master get into some trouble and s/he saves your life again, but s/he is injured. you choice to kill him (bad), save him (good), or leave him(none).if you want to kill him, you have your lightsaber (that he told you not to make), and it is red. you kill him and start to feel the affects of becoming a sith. you can save him (using your lightsaber), and you have a blue one. if you leave him you have a green/yellow saber based on being neutral. from there you return to the acadamy and tell/lie about what happened. this is when you and your master are called to the council which is made up of: Disciple, Bastila, Mission, Handmaden, the yoda looking guy (still alive no matter what side you selected), and some new jedi masters. turns out you are called there because they feel something is 'conflicting' in the force, and since you are of the right age(young adult now), you are no longer an aprentice. the council wants you to travel around and talk to other jedi that are stationed on different planets. bastila also asks you to keep in contact with who you meet(revan anyone). you get a ship from the jedi (little smaller than the ebon hawk), and leave to rest. | have a scene/dream where you see this small fleet of ships drifting in outerspace. moves through the deck towards the bridge where you see a chair facing the front (there are soldiers, jedis, sith, mandalorians... fliying this cammandship). camera zooms to the chair where you can see a black robe. the figure stands up and turns. its revan with the mask and armor on (will be male or female depending on you answers at the begining). a crewmember tells revan that they are almost at there destination, and s/he turns and gives the order to man all battlestations. now you see the outside of the ship and there is a HUGE fleet of damaged ships coming towards them.| back on the farm... acadamy, you wake up from the dream and can tell somebody about it or not. the council summons you to a meeting, where you meet your first 'partner'. s/he is at the same stage as you, just out of the acadamy, and wants to explore outerspace.

I have more, but this is a good start i think.

I like that story idea, not bad at all. All they need now is good actors. A guy "yelling" at you in a calm tone won't seem realistic, I hope Lucasarts does a good job w/ the actors. Also, same-gender masters would be cool, and opposite-gender partners would make it differenciate w/ the gender of your character. The species can be random or w/e, just same voices, they did that in the other games, I noticed that nearly every mercinary sounded the same, but w/e, small detail. Love the story tho, hope they make one similar to that, either in the third or later.

My Version of what Kotor3 should be like

ok, this is just my version of what kotor3 should be like, it does not mean its going to be like that, just an ideal.......

Star Wars : Knights Of The Old Republic III
Search For The Darth Star
*new* *instead of 3 team members at once, now 4*

Characters (12): 1. You (jedi)..2.The Exile (Jedi)(Kotor2)..Mission Vao(jedi) (kotor1)..4.Jolee Bindo (jedi) (Kotor1)..5.Carth (Retired Admiral) (Kotor1 & 2)..6. Atton (jedi) (Kotor2)..7. Mira (jedi) (kotor2) ..8.T3 (droid) (kotor1 & 2)..9.HK47 (assassin droid) (kotor1 & 2)..10.Revan (jedi) (Kotor1)..11.Bastilla (jedi) (kotor1)..12.Scorpio Kun (jedi).

Planets (10): 1.Datooine (restored)..2.Corrusant..3.Telos (half-restored)..4.Tatooine..5.Kashyakk..6.Manaan..7.Korriban..8.UKnown World (kotor1)..9.Malachor X..10. Darth Star.

StoryLine

1.You (Dantooine) - A young padawan strong in the force, your jedi master is Jolee Bindo in the hidden conclave, there are alot of other jedi here, but none go with the story line, the main mission here is to search the old star map area for signs of revan, your final test to become a jedi master, or rank 1, also here you meet up with the exile (bald guy from kotor2) & the ebon hawk (yay!), and your uncle carth (partially grey headed) (yeah old carth is your uncle, you dont know who your parents are), and you also stumble upon a Sith Apprentice, and after you have defeated him, you find a key that opens the room behind the old star forge, there is another map to something even more powerful, but to what, you dont know, its only a partial map, after you go back to enclave, you graduate to jedi master and are sent on a mission to find out what the map leads to, and jolee bindo(white bearded) tags along saying he hasnt had a good time as of late, and off you go, and as before you get to go to only 2 other planets, dont matter which 1, but the 2 are, corrusant and telos, , tatooine will show open but you cant go to it till you been to the other 2 planets first.

2.Mission Vao (older) (corrusant) - on corrusant begging the republic to help the jedi counsil rebuild taris, since telos has done so well in its efforts, she will be in the jedi enclave on corrusant in the counsil's chamber where you are to ask her about a star map on corrusant where she tells you never heard of it, and you ask if she knew revan and where he may be, she tells you what she remembers and no she doesnt know where he is, but she asks to join you and she does, your main mission here is to find a guy named Leon Mcdermitt who tells you he has heard of one either on telos or tatooine, now if you have been to telos, you tell him its not there and tattoine opens up, if you havent been there, you must go.

3.Atton (older, with a goatee),HK47 (was rewired to help with atton on telos) (telos)- is at the Jedi enclave on telos, helping to rebuild it since bao dur died on malachor V, he will join your party because of the exile, atris sits on the counsil along with the handmaiden on telos, you main mission here is to speak to atris and find out that she heard of a star map on either tatooine or corrusant, she had heard of it through the sith holgrams but couldnt make out exactly which it said, she had heard both in the same message, but there was too much static, now if you have been to corrusant, you tell atris it is not there and it opens tatooine up, if not, go to corrusant.

4.Bastilla (older & acts like she's your mother) & T3 (same old T3) (tatooine)- you find her at the krayt dragon's lair on tatooine, and lloks like good ol' T3 is with her again, they join you after they learn of your hunt for revan and the star map you found that revan had also found, there is a hidden cave behind the old star map which contains the new star map, and it opens 2 more planets, Kasyakk and Manaan, and also korriban, which you cannot access now. you graduate to rank 2(the second ranks off of kotor2 that was taught by keira, the exile teaches you this here)

5.Scorpio Kun (short red hair guy from kotor1) (kashyakk)-you find out that scorpio kun is the great grandson of the sith lord exar kun, and brother of the new dark lord Cho Kun (looks the same only darkside version and wears a hood), scorpio kun came to kashyakk to find out why his brother would come to this place, and will join you after you save a young wookie from a tarentek, and you also have a romantic cutsene with mission vao, your main mission here is to save the young wookie, his father tells you he has heard the sith that came through here said it was either on manaan or korriban, he was too high in a tree to make out exactly which one they said was it, now if you've been to manaan, korriban opens up, if not, then go to manaan.

6.Mira (longer hair) (older) (manaan)-is on manaan as a spokeswoman for the republic & jedi on manaan on kolto trades, she will join you after she learns the exile is with you, you main mission is to ask her if she has heard a an old star map on manaan, she says yes, but it isnt active anymore because the giant shark from kotor 1 knocked it off the cliff with its fin and bastilla lets you know it was the one her and revan unlocked years ago, that she felt there was no other one on the planet, and suggests either kasyakk or korriban and if you have been to kashyakk it unlocks korriban, if not, go there.

7.Revan (grey headed) (looks like he did on kotor 1 in the cutsenes only less white) (korriban)(korriban is full of life and plants to their surprise, someone or something had healed it to make it a beautiful place) - is back on korriban in A.P.'s tomb where you find another star map, he jions you for unknown reasons, and as you walk back to the ship, mission drags you to the side and admits her undying love for you, and confesses that revan is your father and that bastilla is your mother (oh great) and then carth walks in and you ask him about it and he admits he knew, and explains thats why he was around all these years to teach you lessons the jedi couldnt teach you, lessons revan taught him, to help protect him from the darkside, and admits he was proud to be called you uncle because he had came to see you as family, you and revan have a talk, where he and bastilla confess, and say they sent you away to become a jedi and follow your father into the outer reaches of the outer rim, and you also find out revan had healed the korriban worldand erased all the darkness in the planet itself, and tells you that the last star map is not on korriban, but on the uknown world they visited in their last mission together, and after finally coming with terms of the surprise, you are all of the unknown world, also the exile and mira have a romantic cutsene here as well. Jedi Rank 3 is introduced here as only 1 path, the jedia exile master, and a new power is introduced, force exile where you have the power to strip a dark jedi of its power and energy as well as any creature without killing it, but its like you killed them because they dont return, and lightside points are earned each time you use it, like with the life drain on the darkside, only lightsided.

8.The Unkown World- here you find the builders united once again and revan is to thank for that, also since you crashed your ship from them firing upon you by mistake, not reconizing the ebon hawk after all these years, they give you the same ship you took from the duxn moon to onderon when the palace was being attacked in kotor2 which canderous left there for them to advance their weapons the last time he visited, and they no longer needed it, but before you can go revan suggests you check out the old temple here for clues of a star map, which the builders tell you there is rumor of a hidden room on the roof of the old temple where the generator from kotor1 is, you go there and find the last corner of the star map which reads malachor X, and off you go.

9. Malachor X (big green planet full of life and plants, also the mandalorians, including canderous, live here now, and a race of energy creatures like on malchor v in kotor 2 live here, only they are friendly and peacful creature, but the mandalorians live in peace with them as well, find canderous who tells rumor of an old sith base they wiped out when they first came to this planet, says you might find what your looking for there, go to the sith base and ou will find what revan's been looking for, its another star map, sith built that contains 1 planet with descripitons of the ray gun and its power to destroy planets with 1 blast, labled darth star, you leave and off to the darth star

10. Darth Star (big metallic planet made by the sith during the jedi civil war)- before you leave the Malachor v, you transmit a message to jedi counsil on corrusant of darth cho kun's plans of using the darth star's weapons to wreak havok on the republic and the jedi, and when you arrive at darth star a heated battle has begun, when you board the darth star, many jedi are there, revan comments that this is the war of all wars, and all your companions 4 at a time go off in differnt directions on there own missions, 4 go to the core, including you, revan, and scorpio kun to fight darth cho kun, and set charges at 4 different spots near the core, 4 including bastilla and misson head to free jedi prisoners from the cells,, 4 including T3,Hk47, and Atton go to the bridge to shut down the defenses, after you defeat darth cho kun, you return to dantooine(where revan and bastilla hold each other close during the parade in the newly built town that surrounds the jedi conclave, and admit that their little boy grew up to be a fine jedi like they hoped he would) and take a seat along with revan, bastilla, exile, misson, and jolee on the danttoine jedi exile council to over see the jedi exiles on their path back into the light, it was revan and the exile's ideal.

Im new at this

i agree with ReaverR32 on some of his ideals, and darth humac has a point with the jedi being whiped out, but it will porberably be a time slot missing inbetween 2 and 3 like with 1 and 2.....and to DesR85 & Hill Shatar, sorry i am new at this, and didnt know where to put my thread and poll sorry.....i see alot of good ideals here for 3, maybe lucas arts ought to look around on here, i know i wouldnt mind my ideals being used, but i aint gonna lie, i wouldnt mind a free release of it when it comes out if they did use my ideals, lol so if lucas arts decide to use my ideals, and wanna give me a free realease of it, contact me at JediaMaster420@peoplepc.com.

Sorry, but I doubt that they are going to give out free releases to forum-goers. You're going to have to pay like the rest of us.

and to quote someone (dont know how to do that yet) "ask not what your country can do for you, but what your country can do for you" (JFK)

Fable says you've quoted this wrong, by the way.

In k2, there are plenty of jedi left, they are all just spread apart. It would be nice to see the jedi order reform on a planet that was strong in the force (kind of a way to hide from the sith).

In reply

in reply to hill-shatar, its been awhile since i heard it, and i cant remeber exactly how it went, sorry if i mis-said it, and to ReaveR32, in K2 there were just a few jedi left, that is true, but it also states that there are many force sensitive creatures through out space, and like with K1, there will proberably be a 11 year gap or more between the timelines, and if you remember right, most of the jedi were wiped out on a force strong planet, thats why they hid on dead planets, and im not saying that my ideal is a good one, just something i thought up, if lucas art did use it, they had the responsibilty to correct my errors, you proberably right, the true sith wouldnt be hiding on any republic planets, but there is a possiblity of saying it, because the true sith did just disappear and no one knows where or if they even truly died out, lol i got alot of free time on my hands lol, and with revan he had to be light sided because the mind-whipe was his second chance, to redeem himself, and save the galaxy, and with the exile, he would more like neutral, kinda like jolee bindo, from the teachings of kiera with using dark and light sided powers, but thats just what i had envisioned from the 2 games, but like i said before, its just an ideal, and you have to admit, some of my ideals would make it a better game huh?

Here's the correct quote (luckily, I still have that etched somewhere in my brain till this very day ;) ): "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country."- John Fitzgerald Kennedy, President of the United States. But I think you probably knew that. Just pointing it out. :)

by The Exile Revan
The way I see it is it should be a two fold game. You have the option of playing Revan or The Exile. If you choose The Exile you will have the droids, Ebon Hawk, basic weapons (i.e. blaster rifle, and a couple of blasters, and lightsaber), and maybe Bastilla who decided to go in search of Revan (especially if you indicate that Revan is male). Exile is on a mission to find Revan. You would find Revan on the first planet you find in Unknown Space. From there you join him on his quest that he left for after a year of destroying the Star Forge. On your fist mission Bastilla would be a required member in the party.

If you choose Revan you will be on that planet, you will only have yourself, your skills, and your gear. About half way through the mission on that planet you meat up with the Exile and company. And then you continue on with Revan's mission.

As for the actual mission Revan is on, I would assume it would deal with the real Sith threat that made Revan want to unite the Core and Outer Rim worlds using their own ships and installations to combat the threat instead of using the Star Forge.
