@TP, I'm afraid Arcanum's interface is probably its worst drawback. Mind, I like the game a lot, but the developers tried to avoid PoR's sub-menu approach and the multi-menus of BG/P:T/IWD. The result is a single screen filled with indigestible part-screens. It's not enough to kill enjoyment, but it certainly hurts the game.

My wife and I went on an extended vacation we'd been planning for ages. Just got back yesterday. :)

Just get yourself the Strategy guide. Otherwise you will make so many mistakes in just talking with NPC's (as well as party members) that many threads will be cut off before you can even start them. The correct tact to take with characters, the correct Wisdom stat or charisma stat at the right time can make the difference between a satisfying experience and one that misses a lot. I've played lots of RPGs, but none that had the sublety of this one, for better or worse.

I had this game in my hands yesterday but put it back on the self. But I think I will go back and pick it up. Sounds like it will be fun to play and the price is right. Alot cheaper then buying one that just came out.

It's definitely more fun to play P:T than to simply pick it up. For one thing, you get to look at interesting places, and meet and kill fascinating people, whereas if you just pick it up, at most you get a light workout for your arm.

Personally, I think it's one of the four or five best CRPGs of all time.

P:T is such an amazing game. i know it didn;t have a huge immediate following so it will never have a sequel, but i bet there is strong enough following now for one.
it is such an amazing game...
I would be a serial killer if i didn't have such a strong distaste for manual labor

I hardly think it would be a light work out. I use more strength driving my car there to "pick it up".
Either way you look at it. It will "Pump You Up"
