Update:

Having EE combined with a base fire damage staff is the main trick for me. It boosts my damage up by 400 points! Now, I am lvl 55 and doing 1100 DPS. Not as good as I've read here, but much better. I've also discovered the farming only works sometimes. I keep getting armor and weapons that I cannot use. Almost never do I get purple items that relate to my character. The amount of (high-end) staffs and conjurer type of armor that I find are abysmal. Weird.

For my conjurer i played an entire evening farming the same spot. It is the spot i told you about, just outside babylon at legendary difficulty.
For example i'll show you my gear, so you can see i'm heavily dependant on intelligence!

My rings: without these rings, my damage would be halved!



The size of them is 1024 so it can take a while before they are fully loaded

My DPS is only 700 at level 47 :/. I have Ternion though.

Mr.Waesel, while his post that you quoted and I deleted was out of line, your insinuation that he should not be allowed to post again here due to minor flaming is equally as insulting and out of line.

Please let the moderators handle flames and out of control members, and please don't take matters like that into your own hands, the report to moderator function is there for a reason.

I have the Telamon Boar skewer with my Warden and he does 1400 dps with just Art of Hunt active. More damage from: batter 2, colossus2, study prey11, Call of Hunt4, Exploit Weakness4, Adrenaline synergies max+1. Plus the skewer does +70% piercing damage (10% of the time) and 100% damage to beasts always! And +2 hunting skills. Insane. He is in epic egypt now and is flying like mad through maps.

Not only the purple staffs matter as you can see with my staff. Many times the green ones are better! When you see a creature shooting with fir one you, then you will know that that staff can be a good one for you!

My 45 Brigand does 9008 (DPS)

I just stacked on piercing damage, and attack speed.

56 Harbinger ( Warfare and Dream) does 12k DPS

How do you do that? Maybe you can show some pictures of your equipment?

9008 DPS with a level 45 brigand?! I had a level fiftysomething with the hunters armor set and did about 2-3k dps

Level 39 champion dps around 1500.

How can you guys get so high DPS (like 5k !!!) ?
Im on Leng diff and here are pics of my gear and my masteries.
Did i do something wrong and im not getting to high on DPS ?

I think the main difference is strength, because every time i add some points to strength (+4) my dps increases with 15. Also you can have better results with green weapons with added incarnation of achilles, just take a look at my items.

hmm i have a average of 720 and DPS of 810, i am a level 43 hunter/rogue, and last night i started epic level in IT, guess its to late to try and get my hunter set unless that also drops in the expansion, on a plus side i dropped a bow of brambles on my first kill, just before the second crab ate me

I only do 700something dps with a level 47 conqueror...with onslaught, colossus form and defensive reaction on, i still only do around 1.8k i think. probably 2k with ardor

Match it with the cowboy boots for more effectiveness! It's for the same reasons that they have a Santa suit and Sherlock Holmes' outfit. For fun!

It's part of the stuff from the secret area.

I personally have a lvl 56 conjourer ( wanted summoner title ) and if you dident know conjourer is Earth/Spirit, I have 4100 dps and I can 1 shot almost anything in the game!

About half way into epic now, and have incresed my DPS to 1200 using a bow (i play hunter/rogue, lvl 48) have switched all my blue items to green and added relics, still not seen a nice purple item but hoping that will change, not sure if i can ask here but where is a good place to go farm items as i think i will need some serious damage upgrades to beat hades, i know about the farms in act 3, WP 2 but jsut wondering where else i can go

any help would be great, thanks in advance

My Dps has increased to 5500!

Does anyone know an artifact with bigger impact on your dps then this one?

It also matters the speed of the attack. The faster you can hit, the higher the DPS is.
