@Jouke, this might be a stupid question, but have you tried Valen? She's been around for ages but some players are discouraged by her advantages in combat and never get around to play the mod. She doesn't really have that much content ( no banters, for example, though her interjections are very good if few ), but she will force you to take some of the most evil decisions the game potentially offers, and i mean force. No backing out. And she won't even join a party if there are 'goodies' in it.

But you are right, there aren't many evil people to join us. Somehow, everyone from BioWare developers to all those great modders out there seems to equate 'evil' with 'rude'. And it's not as though every evil-doer has to be a blatant butcher, is it? Some of the worst people are those who pass for 'pillars of community'...

Kivan is an elven archer. :)

As to the evil romance, it's been discussed a lot around the modding communities, and the funny thing is how different people mean different things by this. There's a Sarevok romance mod for tob, which is IMO pretty bad right from the starting point, what with your former nemesis and dad's murderer and all, and still some gamers refer to one of its options as "goody-goody", simply because the PC declares in it she doesn't wish to ascend and Sarevok isn't cruel to her.

Privately i've been wrestling with this horrible temptation to write an assassin NPC, somewhat similar to Dekaras from Edwin's Expansion. Competent, professional, polite cold-blooded killer. Could be fun.
Didn't know that, cheers.

I am sorry, but as a historian, I have this thing about accuracy.
I did read the books and I agree with you, the books put gimli in a much more serious role and I like him. But I also like the gimli Peter Jackson created. Mostly because of his humor. But there are more parts of the story peter jackson changed in the movie.

Nevertheless I think the game could use a NPC with humor, a bit like Gimli in the movies.

I have installed Valen mod once but I ran into the difficulty that I am always playing good or neutral. I think it is very hard to play evil, and I have got some difficulty's playing evil in sertain subquests.

We've discussed a lot of evil options for NPS'c but we did't talk about neutral characters a lot. I think the game could use a neutral fighter as wel. A girl that doesn't love things like the government and hates people that are in charge. But she also has a love for doing what's correct to do.

Or, and I do think that this one should be created, an paladin that hasn't got a lot of confidence in himself, a bit like Xzar. Any other idea's?

Someone who does not like governments and such, but does what is right is still good, probably CG.

I have Xan as a wild-mage, I figured it'd be even more depressing for him to have his spells suddenly turn into a bunch of squirrels.
And then say "Oh, What is the point?" Love his sound set.

I would just like to see more single classed NPCs available. One of every class. Minsc should have been a Barbarian. A gay Bard would be funny (think Big Gay Al). A barbarian or beast master from Chult would have been nice...

I've tried the Xan Mod but I disagree on the voiceacting, it is terrible! Xan in BG1 Is a much more depressing voice, wich really makes you laugh

I've seen assassin mentioned a few times and consequences for your party's action, as in doing something real evil. Alexia an assassin mod. Some of her contracts that she takes will have dire consequences depending on what you do or if you lie or tell the truth.

I wish that the twin tiefling sisters project wasn't abadoned.

Aside from that.. Evil needs more love.

I would like to see a mod that allows you to find a way to break Yoshi's geas and save him. Also a way to give Aerie her wings back. By spell definition (2e) Restoration, Regenerate or Heal should do this....
