Thankfully I got my Kensai power back, so thats making things much easier... Any other cool tips for low level mage fighting? So far my win rotation is stoneskin, melf's minute meteors, magic missile, and skull trap/fireball when Im far enough. Again though, I usually cant take out more than a couple...
Try using disabling spells like Emotion, Chaos and Slow rather than direct damage spells. It's easier to take down enemies one or two at a time than all at once while they're rushing you. Also, don't forget to target spellcasters first.
Mirror Image is another nice defensive spell btw.

Indeed! Actually the battles are now turning around. Fot the ones that are too much to handle I resorted to my old party strategy of divide and conquer... basically isolating each member and then killing them, no fighter has a chance against my kensai aspect and no mage has been able to last 5 seconds after I cast breach on them. Gonna start with the harder chain quests now :)

@ Grasshopper: Great Idea! Going to buy emotion & chaos tonight. I just hate that every good spell at this point is a level 4, I only have 3 slots @ level 11, its a pain to have to sleep after every non-pathetic mob.

@ Galraen: Another great idea! I just grabbed monster summoning 2, as the kobolds of MS 1 are proving to be all but useless... I figured they would at least kill the hold and confusion spells before they die and then I can rush in with my PC, but unfortunately the mages seem to know whats going on and save their crowd control spells till I show up.

Quick note to all, Wizard's eye has also been very helpful. The WoW equivalent would be Eye of Kilrogg, loved that freakin spell. Could always see what im fighting before I go in. Unfortunately it's also a level 4 :( Damn you 3 slots!
