Just finished rereading Robin McKinley's The Blue Sword and its prequel, The Hero and the Crown.

I loves me a strong and capable, yet at the same time flawed and vulnerable, female protagonist. Based on that, anyone have any recommendations?

i got a kindle very recently and went on a reading rampage, lol... i just got done reading 'the hunger games' trilogy last week (read all 3 books in about 5 days... work interrupted, lol) all i can say about the hunger games is.. "WOW!!!" it was a very interesting read i must say. the third book was kind of hard to get into for some reason for me but it was still pretty good. but the second book i could hardly put down and read that one the quickest due to that.

now i am back on to reading the death gate cycle again... its a series of 7 books that i loved from first read... then will probably run through the entire shannara series again by terry brooks.

Theon. I had noticed that the TV show portrayed him as being much less likeable than the first book did, I guess they wanted to foreshadow how much of an evil bastard he is in the second book/series

I'm reading the first book in that series right now. Though I haven't seen the show yet. Very good read, hard to put down.

Reading A Feast for Crows from the asoiaf series now. I still hate Cersei and Daenerys, but Sansa was more likable this time around. I have a Dance with Dragons waiting and I'm really waiting to get to that, but I have to revise on the previous books first.

I'm on the last 10 pages or so of A Dance with Dragons. I really like the A song of Ice and Fire series and this book is just great.

However, I'm starting to agree a little with the point certain critics are making about the series being a bit meandering. Of course there is always a need for a couple of extra plot twists to keep the story going, but I'm glad the author have decided that no new P.O.V characters will be added in the final two books...

My favourite chapters are Tyrion's, Jon's and Daenerys'. Victarion is also shaping up to be an interesting character, mostly due to his barbarism, his narrow view of the world he inhabits, his hate for his brother Euron and his genral bad ass viking way of life. It's also interesting to read more of the red priestess Melisandre.

I've been re-reading books I loved as a kid. Gentle Ben is sadly not that good when you read it as an adult.
