Which game should I pick now?

I would have to vote for:

Planescape: Torment or Fallout 2.

Both are GREAT games. Fallout 2 would be a nice change of pace from fantasy RPGs. Planescape is the way to go if you want more fantasy games.

Can't really go wrong with either one.
You will run afoul of both a common misconception and a family of bears.
