In some ways I don't like the goody goody characters: Keldorn and Mazzy, because they are so noble and righteous it can be boring. But you really are glad they're on your side in that touching conversation before you go to fight Irenicus on the Tree of Life - Keldorn and Mazzy are so noble and true you really feel lucky to have them.

My personal Lilarcor favorite:

"You know, as an intelligent sword Im pretty one-dimensional in what I WAAAAANT!" ;)

But my personal favorite as a character is Korgan. As a gang it's the evil team. I mean the dialogue between Korgan, Viconia and Edwin is hilarious.

My vote goes to Minsc - of the "comic relief" characters, he's the only one I never get tired of. I also like Mazzy, she's so sweet.

Haer Dalis? I can't stand him - every time I hear him say "This sparrow..." I feel like replying "This sparrow is now going to make a nice sparrow-pate"

Ok last Edwin quote on my part... :D

Edwin(a)- What!? Why do you stare at me so, barbarian?!

Minsc- You bear handsome features, though they are familiar, too. Edwin's sister perhaps? Aye, Boo sees the resemblance. You are his superior in your manner though.

Edwin(a)- I AM Edwin, you lumbering fool! Can you not comprehend this?!

Minsc- I don't do well with the philosophical. You are Edwin? Ah, like Minsc is Boo and Boo is Minsc because we carry each other within. Do you like hamsters? Boo likes you.

Edwin(a)- If you do not wish to be the proud owner of a very small rug you will get that animal away from me.

Minsc- I see more and more of Edwin in your tone, though still you are better company than he. Boo will forgive you, for now.

Edwin(a)- (I will kill ALL of them. Slowly. With...with HOT...pokey things and...and coals and...and prods. Yessssss, prods. Many, many prods.)

Minsc- - I think she warms to our company, Boo. See how she looks longingly?

Most liked NPC? This will have to be a draw between Valygar, Jaheira and Nalia. These three are reliable, competent and pleasant - what more could you ask for in a friend? Humor in all honor, but would you ever feel safe around Edwin and Korgan? I don't think so... Mazzy and Keldorn share the same qualities as Valygar, Jaheira and Nalia but I also find them somewhat distant. Jan and Haer'Dalis are both chaotic neutral and therefor lack the reliability. I question Minsc's competence; the man's got a screw loose. Cernd is all right but I don't think we have much in common; how could anyone be so devoted to nature that he leaves his wife? Imoen seems to be a nice fellow but I've never used her much, not even in BG1.

I can't stand vaygar, since i run a mage heavy party, all these comments about magic drove me nuts. only had him for planer sphere, kicked him out with lavok. The sphere is MINE< MINE< MINE!!!!

Nalia drove me nuts!

For the Needy!!!???!!!

minsc is too loony and has all of korgans and keldys limitations without any of their perks.

viccy is kinda cool, in a sick sorta way.

next party,
myself, elf sorc
jaheira for quests and coolness...she is the cool chick back in college, the one with huge bunch of friends...

aerie, for obvious reasons
korgy for bashing
jan for cheese with spiky traps and use any item
They call me Darth...

Darth Gizka!

Muwahahahahhahahha!!!

You get to keep the sphere anyway, didn't you know that? And I can't see why the NPCs in a party have to agree in all matters. Different points of view urge the world forward. Fianally, let me assure you that Korgan is no Mage-lover either.

BTW, you seem nutty. ;)

I like the conversations between Korgan and Sarevok, Korgan calls Sarevok a "bloody killing machine" :p

But how oh how can most of you not like Haer'Dalis? His accent and how he talks and what he thinks, he is the most openminded person in the whole game.
Acolyte of evil.

Yuck. Haer'dalis is only redeeming qualities is that he's a doomguard. The rest is just goddam annoying:

1. He tries to steal you chicks(if your trying to romance aerie).
2. He splutters out annoying comments about sparrows when you just want him to KILL!(you never get that from korgan. When you want him to kill he is eager to do it)
3. He is so pathetic so you will hear his deathscreams all the time.

Korgan only has 1 negative side. He pisses of Aerie, he pisses of Minsk....well pretty much any naive goodie goodie.

Personally I hated that they removed the "if you poke me enough I will start doing other stuff....like in Warcraft".

I mean, Branwens "For *cant remember her deities name* Strapping Buttox" is priceless.

Edwin do this, Edwin do that, somebody get this JERK a banana....

Anyways, Edwin, Jaheira and Keldorn are my favorite. Keldorn, because as a power-gamer he is just so good with his dispels and to a lesser extent his true sight. As a role-player, he covers your team spiritually. He's humble and focused. I just can't bear to not have him in my good party.

Jaheira. Anyone else think she's not roleplaying her true neutral alignment ? I like 3E rules, where she can be neutral anything. lawful, chaotic, evil, good. As long as you don't get to the extremes. Anyways, as a romance, no one is more complex and convuluted. Just like real women. I do feel bad for Khalid however..

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST............

Sarevok !!!!!!

Like reforming a hardened criminal. A thoroughly interesting charachter.

Edwin is so much funnier than Jan. :)

Actually, besides a Lilarcor and Shar-Teel soundset, I also use an Edwin soundset (put together from both his BG1 and BG2 quotes). :D

Favorite chars...hmm, I'd have to say Keldorn and surprise, surprise, Anomen. I just happen to like knights and their attitudes. Keldorn is a humble, righteous and experienced knight where Anomen is an arrogant wannabe/will be-knight. Anomen is just like the young knight from any romance novel. Keldorn is just like the old knight from any romance novel. They are both so pure and they fight for good, no matter what. I just love them, can't even describe it very well.

I also like Valygar, Jan, and Minsc. BG1...Yeslick and Ajantis.
Centuries ago in England........It was an era of chivalry and magic. The evil Prince John unleashed an iron fist of tyranny upon the people. They called out for a champion.........one man answered that call. His name, was Robin Hood. Fearless in his quest for justice Robin Hood challenged the power of the high warlords. While protecting the helpless and the poor. Willing to face death for what he believed, along with the beautiful, lady warrior, Jaheira, the mighty Minsc, and the wise Keldorn. Robin Hood forged a legend that lives on today in............
