Shouldn't be a problem in Skyrim with it's Scandinavian back drop: if it is a problem, don't buy the game as almost everyone has or tries to impersonate, a Scandinavian accent!

Cloaks of Skyrim
As the name implies adds cloaks to the game; some that you can find are enchanted; you can also make them out of linen wraps or leather. Only annoyance is that a lot of cloaks you find have description which fools the game into thinking they are enchanted when they aren't.
I only just installed this today, and so far I'm extremely impressed, it makes Aela into a much more interesting companion.
Since Vilja interacts with Aela (granted Emma was limited to available sound files, but it's not bad), having the two in tow makes Skyrim feel much more like a party-based game. (I tend to imagine that Aela would likely view Vilja as an overly exuberant younger sibling ) I have also observed so far that the player dialogues with Aela are reflecting of lore and well-written;I feel the mod author has done an excellent job with her character.
From the description:
Her stats--health and skills--will now level correctly with the player, up to a maximum level of 9999.
She has a realistic set of mid-level perks in the light armor, archery, and stealth trees--including lightfoot so she will not set off traps.
She has a Serana/Dawnguard-like "wander" mode when the player stops moving, but only in cities when the player isn't sneaking and doesn't have a weapon drawn. This can also be toggled off.
She will now sit when the player sits. (She'll pick the closest chair or bench to where she is standing when the player sits.)
She has a "warp" function that increases her speed to 2.5x normal if she falls far behind you, and a teleport function that will move her to you if she really gets lost
Respect
Before Aela will agree to certain requests, you'll need to earn her respect. Respect is earned through combat victories, exploring Skyrim, and completing quests while Aela is with you to witness them--victories won while she is dismissed, or waiting, do not count. And on the other hand, you may lose respect if you show too much of an inclination to learn spells or commit crimes while Aela is present; or if you ask her to wait for you and then take too long to return to her. As well, certain dialogue choices will also increase or decrease her respect for you.
Enhanced Dialogue
ESF: Aela adds over 1,000 lines of new dialogue as of version 0.4.7. The additions include:
New, context-sensitive greetings and farewells (voiced).
You can now ask Aela about a variety of subjects (mix of voiced and unvoiced). However, she's not one for casual chit-chat or frequent deep personal conversations--after a few queries, she'll get tired of answering your questions. You can ask more in 24 hours; gaining her respect will increase the number of topics you can ask about per day.
New location-based commentary for many game locations and situations (mostly unvoiced).
Several extensive branching conversations to enhance game quests and situations, often with options linked to PC gender, race, faction membership, etc. (mostly unvoiced).

Are there any decent armour mods that change the basic armours/add to the armours a chestplate-with-bare-legs concept, kind of like a Roman Legionnaire? (I know, Imperial armour is very close, but equipping a breastplate covers the legs as well.)
I only find the proverbial chainmailbikini's.
Couple of other mods I've been using that I like:
Ethereal Elven Overhaul - Used with Xenius' character enhancement, it improves the appearance of elves without making them look like fashion models. I find that in my game they now look much more reminiscent of Morrowind's elves, which is a good thing... In my view, they got it right in ES3.
And here is a nice house mod. It's a cozy, very well-appointed and laid out two story dwelling near Whiterun that isn't a huge castle or mansion:

Is that a practial joke? There isn't one face there that doesn't do that puffy duckface thing.

No joke Tricky
In **my** game they don't look like duckfaces. In most of those screenshots people are using other mods that give the effect. I don't use such mods, I stick to Xenius' Character Enhancement.
That being said, in my next install, I'll probably go back to Less Harsh Elves because it seems to do a better job with some of the NPCs I've encountered (cleanly removing mods in Skyrim is nigh on impossible, apparently).

Alright, I'll take a look at it when I get the game. Thanks, DW.

No problem Tricky.
As I said, Ethereal Elves isn't bad, but I prefer Less Harsh Elves, I've decided. When you do get the game, just be sure to make backups before installing mods and test them out on separate saves. Bethsoft themselves have confirmed that clean mod removal in this game is virtually impossible.
And it looks like I'll be making that reinstall sooner than anticipated..Steam was using a ton of memory so I decided to reinstall it... forgetting that all of my Skyrim folders were stored within the Steam directory. Not to mention that the game itself has been giving me a ton of CTDs, freezes etc (I do use BOSS and TES5Edit, as well as regular defragging, scans etc.). When Skyrim initially came out I could run it without a hitch.. I was really hoping this was the Bethsoft game that could run hassle free... *sigh* Going to mess with Dragon Age Origins for a while before attempting another install.. not sure I feel like levelling yet again through the earlier stuff any time soon.
Anyway, don't want to derail the thread, just take care with Steam, game file backups etc. As to the cosmetic mods, it seems very difficult to find good ones. Those I have mentioned are (in my view) some of the better ones, but even they make the elves look a bit too pretty.
My impression of the Elderscrolls modding community, particularly those that create content for ES 4 and 5, is that the only reason many learn to use the construction sets is so that they can produce pixel porn by turning the female NPCs/Player Character into gravity defying bimbos and having them engage in "adult animations."
OK, yes there are plenty of quality modders, but occasionally it feels like you are searching for the proverbial needle in the proverbial haystack.
