A brand new mod from Westley Weimer:
Underrepresented Items
Quoting from the mod description:
The Underrepresented Items mod blatantly steals some items from Icewind Dale 2 in order to flesh out some item groups in BG2 that are, shall we say, a little light for early game tactics (e.g., darts, maces, halberds). Note that unlike the Item Upgrade Mod, we don't claim to be particularly balanced here (although these items were "balanced" in IWD2, they may well be egregious in BG2, the jury is still out).
Definitely some nice stuff that was missing from the game. Westley and everyone else who worked on the mod: THANK YOU

Infinity Engine Modlist
FYI, all of my above posts/lists are now obsolete. I'm no longer updating each individual list.
Instead, a database-driven site has been setup to encompass all of the information of those posts, and much more.
Mods, portrait sites, modding communities, gaming forums, custom sites--they're all included. People can also submit any link that may not already be included.
Please take a moment to visit and bookmark the site. It's the culmination of much hard work, and I hope it proves useful to everyone.

NPC mod review
I just came across this review page for many of the NPC mods out there. Bearing in mind that any opinions on the subject are going to be highly subjective and that some of the reviews are of older versions, this page looks to be quite helpful for anyone new to NPC mods.
Note: I hope this is the right place to post this link, if not please place where more appropriate
