I don't remember which Tomb Raider it is, but I got bored with it rather quickly. I should probably give it another try, but I've got too many games to complete: BG/BG2, Starcraft, Freespace, and Septerra Core. Plus there are games I plan on buying sometime this year. Maybe I should drop out of college.

@SS, I just bought Septerra core...what do you think of the game? I am trying to decide between playing it or Oddesy: Search for Ullyses(sp). I have a habit of picking up games that just cost ten dollars. :D

As I recall, Odyssey is a pretty bad graphical adventure. Septerra Core was a fair CRPG that got repetitive, quickly.

I think it's a great game. My friend describes it as a cross between Arcanum, Fallout, and Final Fantasy. Since I have only played one of those three, I don't know if that is an accurate description or not. Like in the BG series, there are places in the game where you can read about different aspects of the world you're in, which, imo, improves the roleplaying experience. :)

Thatwas actually one reason why I got it, it seemed similar to FF when I looked at it. Arcanum is currently getting on my nerves though. Still, I will finish it eventually, and figure out what all is going on someday....damn useless manual :D

LoL, yes, that manual is very useless. I'm not even sure where my Arcanum manual is anymore. :o

1) The Sims: can't understand the appeal and why it sold gazillions of copies.
2) Tiberian Sun: totally ruined C&C for me. Hope Generals doesn't do the same
3) Any game with the word Theme, Tycoon, or Sim in it.

@Fable, so you played Oddessey? was it that bad? Maybe there are reasons some games are only $10. :D

max payne - yes, it's a good game, but it has been hyped out of all proportion. it's a mildly enjoyable, sometimes annoying, 3rd person shooter, not a revolutionary gaming concept.

also the prohibitively high minimum requirements are very annoying - i can't play it on my PC, and i know about 2 people who have got the reccomended specs  .

I'm thinking of two possible games it could be, and both of them were extremely unimaginative. One was a very early Windows program with live motion figures, while the other was a fairly recent French game. Both were extremely dull graphical adventures.

I thought about buying Septerra Core, but I heard a lot of bad rap about it.

Most dissapointing game I've ever played was Ultima IX. From now on I try before I buy. Even if it comes from one of the greatest series ever to grace the PC.

Worst game I've played. I tend to have a good eye for games nowaday. However I still remember playing Red Alert, so they added real nations. Big deal

Give me Civ 2 or Age Of Empires anyday. I used to say. Now its Civ3 and AOE2 over Red Alert 2. :D

1) Resident Evil (all of them) - the person who came up with the camera should be shot

2) Red Alert 2 - Looked like red alert 1 and was an insult to all who have played total annihilation & earth 2150

3) Tomb Raider (see #1)

4) Myst - rendered slideshows is nice, but not at that price

5) Quake 3 - like UT, only without funny gamemodes (like ctf etc.) but with ugly weapon grahics and boring singleplayer

I really enjoyed Septerra Core, though the endless fighting did get a bit irritating. I played it at the same time I played "The Longest Journey" (which I also enjoyed) and it was a nice blending.

The worst game I played recently was "Black and White". Great concept, but what good is it to be a god when you are reduced to doing menial tasks over and over and over....? I banished from my hard drive in disgust.

I watched someone play an in-store demo of one of those deer shooting games. Both the idea of it and the actually game play was terrible. :(

I got bored with the Sims pretty quickly, until I was shown how to create a toga party... sans togas. I go back from time to time in order to delve deeper into my cultural heritage. :D

Finally, Exile (Myst III) is tres boring....

I pity the people who actually go out of their way to purchasing games like these. :(

1/ Age of empires (grrrrr - dull)
2/ Eastfront
3/ Civ 3 (why oh why)
4/ Warcraft
5/ Warlord III
6/ The Elder Scrolls
7/ Disciples

As to deer stalking games....Bambi's revenge! The only dumber (but less offensive generally) idea I can think of is Microsoft's Train Sim (my Dad has it) and:
1/ The graphics suck (when you actually go past something you should recognise it doesn't look familiar).
2/ It's a train. I sleep on trains. My way to play the sim is to put it on, go to bed, when I wake up I'm there. Yippee!
3/ It is a train. See that paint drying.

My cousin bought deerhunter, and I decided to try it......so you sit in front of the computer staring at the screen at nothing for most of the day....then, when you finally DO see a deer, you don't shoot it because it broke the monotony......

"Besides, Viv would kill me" :D
