sorry I've somehow disabled people from mailing me...if anyone knows how to undo this, please tell, but for now just use Pms if you want and I'll mail you if I need to...

also...@Waverly, is it also 'considered bad form' to make up entirely fictional and slanderous quotes from people to forward to your 'allies'?

Two notes on the map Waverly provided. The map does not say wich is fleet and wich is army, If someone doesnt know were the fleets are they should check it up or ask here. Also the St. Petersburg fleet is positioned on the south coast. So a move to barents sea is not valid. :)

@frogus - go to the control panel and do edit options then do hide email address = no

@dottie - the realpolitik map tells you which are fleets and armies and dont worry im aware of the fleet's position.

@CM - once it comes up as winter 1901 (or whatever year) in the bottom left you can select army, fleet or disband. Double click the appropriate space, and Bob's your Uncle ;) (Oh how I hate that phrase :D )

No spam...must remember....but i don't want bob to be my uncle! :D

Anyway thanks, another question, according to the rules, the diplomacy round lasts 30 min or something.
On this version, does it last stil friday whatever time?

Answers:

1 move is due Fri, Spring 1901

Realpolitik goes automatically into the winter season and you build fleets or armies by clicking the correct icon in the lower left followed by the territory. The map also has an edit mode.

Making up lies, even quotes, is not bad form [ironically enough :D ] It is using the ‘forward’ function on your email client that is frowned upon. The headers of the forwarded email could make it impossible for the content to be disputed, and destroys the element of ‘diplomacy.’ Similarly, real time communication (phone or IM) gives the pair doing so an unfair advantage over those that stick to the accepted email or PM modes of communication.

Dottie, thanks for pointing that out. Not the best map in that case. Use the attached map (which I previously posted)

The official rules are for face to face play. Negotiation time is one of the areas where the rules differ for email play.

Witchking: Perhaps after this game is over you would be interesting in another? If we can rotate the ajudication to another willing party, I'd be interested myself. I'm surprised Ned never spoke up for a slot or Grunt didn't have an interest... it also occurs to me we can look at varients that would allow more players. Aberration is a good one and I believe it plays 9.

Nip: I'm not in the UK, but I certainly know what time it is there. Perhaps we are just smarter stateside. :p
When you do start a new one, count me in.....(I was too slow in "oh, pick me Waverly, I want to play" for this game :D ;) )

Okay, I'm starting to get the hang of it, but why is it I can only produce one army per winter season?

It all depends how many supply centres you have a captured. You get to build that many units. Of course if you lose some then you have to disband the appropriate amount of units.

K0rn: I have trouble sending you PMs. Your name seem to be invalid in some way. :(

I think I know what your problem is, if you're copying his name off a post it adds a space after the dodgy /\/, which shouldn't be there. Just take it out - I had a problem with this a while back...

It should be K0r/\/f1@k€$
not K0r/\/ f1@k€$

Oh dear...upon your quoteage I have realised that your problem is probably that your computer doesn't recognise the euro symbol which is the penultimate letter of his name. Maybe there's a patch, maybe it's terminal. Frankly, I don't know what to do if that is the case. Oh dear :( I hope that's not what it is.

How about getting those orders in for tomorrow? My thinking is that there isn't much negotiation to do on the first turn so we could press on? Up to what other people think of course esp. Waverly. We don't want to lose momentum :)

I'd be happy to move up the deadline if all are agreed. Perhaps more adept players are still negotiating that complex 'Operation Sea Lion' or 'Triple Entente' and I wouldn't want to cut them short of time. ;)

Actually, let's do this: if you are certain you are ready, send in your orders. If I recieve them all. I'll adjudicate. Fair enough?

How do we send our orders in? Do we just e-mail the map to you after we tell them to move or whatever? Also, after the turn is done, do we see what everyone else did that turn? Lastly, do we resolve and confirm before we send our orders in?

There you go Aegis.

EDIT: and may I suggest we PM Waverly our email addresses and Waverly PMs us his, maybe exchanging all our emails if everyone agrees, so we can send in our orders like that?
