Why does nearly everyone leave out the first r in Berserker?

I have a problem with Chain Contingency. I can only get up to 3 level 3 spells in it. Really sucks. Anyone know why? And I have the patch. Also, the best race for a sorcerer is elf. And the best spell is time stop or Mordenkainen's sword (or both). Also useful is a sequencer full of greater malison followed by a finger of death. Finish many battles very quickly this way.

probably because they're just too berzerk to type properly.

One of the best spells has to be spell trigger (3 lower resistance AT ONCE) but its really hard to find; must be one of those random treasure things like mords sword

The best Sorcerer, Elf.

The best Mage is either Elf or Gnome, before deciding on which one of them are the best I have to know; what are the bonus spells? in the manual it stand:

Bonus Spells: Wisdom 18: 4th.

What does that mean?

First of all, wisdom has nothing to do with mage spells. It only applies to clerics. And as for the best race for a mage, it depends. Do you want dual or multi class or a straight mage? Also what specialty, if any? Overall, gnome is great because of 19 int but you have to live without necromancy spells. If you want a non dual or multi classed specialist mage, I'd say half-elf. No really good bonuses but some over human and they're the only other race that can be a conjurer, which is, in most people's opinion, the best specialist mage.

It doesn't help Sorcerers, I'm quite sure of that.

If the bonus spells only concerns Priest spells, then Gnomes are the best Mages (and would be the best Sorcerers if they could be it).

Actually, if gnomes could be the sorcerers, elves would still be better. Bonus dexterity for better attacks with slings lets you keep your distance. The thing is that int doesn't make any difference to a sorcerer. They get the same number of spells no matter what any of their stats are in 2nd edition AD&D rules. I have heard that in 3rd edition rules, charisma effects the number of spells for a sorcerer, but I don't know.

I think the best spell would be Time Stop because if you stop time you can cast Stoneskin, Breach, Lower resistence a couple times then cast Finger of Death Image (of course if Time Stop runs out then you cast another one hopefully you would have the Robe of Vecna) Image Image

Timestop's a fantastic spell - the different combinations of mayhem you could cause with it are almost limitless. Its just a shame you can only cast it 'legally' within the game a few times.
