Just a one minor annoyance, it seems weird to me that a paladin of Tyrm would teach and be a mentor to a Paladin of Helm. But as said, it is just a minor problem, the story is excellent! Keep up the good work.
Not dual classing. It will be something that's normally impossible according to AD&D rules, but who cares?
Actually, if you read Ajantis' biography, you'll see that he
was trained by Keldorn.
(BTW, it's either Tyr or Torm, not Tyrm
)

"dual class him"...please don't. I mean, seems to me that every wants to create the most powerful character, collect all the power-items and kill all easily. I mean, where's the roleplaying? "Man, I'm gonna create a Kensai/mage, whut's the best tactic against the supermonster who has killed a 1000 gods?"...come on, a little imagination. The_Pope, the story is EXCELLENT, a great idea and stuff. Very well written, props to you.

Woops, my mistake
Still, it feels weird that paladin's trainer is a paladin of different god.

Yeah well, with paladins it's not about which god they worship, it's about righteousnous.

yep, paladins are all good, and train skill at arms and common religous skills so as long as they follow the dictate of good aligned gods, most usually bringers of justice , they get along with each other fine. there is no serious religous rivalry amoungst good alignments, just some good natured competition, traits like revenge dislike/hate jealousy and contempt are reserved for evil religions.(unless it is "righteous" to do so)
Pope, i agree about single classes, and dont find the straight fighter class boring at all. bring it on! KUTGW, and that

hmm... I was thinking, if the Kensai is like a samurai, shouldn't he be lawfull good also because the samurai is the equivalent of a paladin? (in a way)

I don't think all samurais were good, they were zealously loyal to their master but not all of them were good. Though, kensai is more like a ronin (a samurai without a master). Samurais should be lawful but I guess ronins were more to the neutral side but certainly not chaotic. I think the alignments in BG2 match pretty good (if you consider kensai as a ronin, that is).

I see that you are enjoying the story, roleplayers. I have interrupted your reading to notify you of some important facts.
As stated, Ajantis meant a great deal in Gabriel’s life. He would turn out to be his best friend. During their travels together, Gabriel learned about the paladin way. He had found something that could replace his eternal anger about Gorion’s death. Slowly, the warrior changed to a good “alignment”. He also forsook his “chaotic” side, although still despising the laws. Things might have gone differently if justice had stood by his side on that terrible night. Yet it hadn’t…
Gabriel was now a “neutral good” person. Also, realizing what his need for revenge had done to him, he became more human again. His charisma shifted back to the original 10. He did not regret his meeting with Ajantis.
I will bother you no longer. It was getting exciting, wasn’t it?
“The camp was well hidden. There is no way we would have found it if it weren’t for Minsc. Minsc could smell his ward from a mile away, and as we neared her location, the berserker knew we were close. The encampment was actually an ancient and forsaken ruin, presumably a small fortress that had once been a hideout of a certain warlord ages ago.
As we emerged from the woods, we were welcomed by a rain of arrows. These bandits were well prepared for a possible attack… Although it was just a ruin, most of the walls were still standing, giving the enemy archers perfect positions to defend their base. Minsc however did not care about the situation, and simply rushed at an opening in one of the walls that had once served as a doorway. The guards standing there pulled their weapons and prepared for the charging brute.
Two seconds later, one for each guard, Minsc stepped through the door. Jaheira, Khalid, Ajantis and me quickly ran over, dodging the loads of arrows being shot our way. When we entered the stronghold, more guards came to confront us. They were plentiful, but not quite as experienced in combat as the five of us. We fought our way through hordes of enemies, and were not unharmed. There barely was quality in our opponents, but in the Nine Hells, there was quantity alright! Some of the walls inside the fortress had collapsed since a long time, yet somehow the roof was still there. This was a perfect encampment for such an organization indeed! Parrying a few hostile blows, Khalid pointed to a staircase, one leading up, the other leading down. Minsc, at first suspecting Dynaheir to be upstairs, quickly rushed back down, being chased by at least ten bandits, the archers that had attacked us before. He probably hadn’t smelled his witch up there, so she had to be in the cellar. I followed him downstairs, while the others kept the bunch of robbers busy.
The lower level was secured much less. A few armed men attacked Minsc and me, but with some well-aimed blows, the ranger easily took them out. Once again I was impressed by my companion’s potential. He didn’t wait and celebrate his victory though, instead he kept going in search for Dynaheir.
Khalid, Jaheira and Ajantis came down the stairs. Apparently, the lot of bandits on the first floor had totally been defeated. At a certain cell, Minsc halted. I could hear a woman’s voice calling the name ‘Minsc’. My comrade did not doubt for a single second and grabbed the bars, using all of his enormous strength to bend them. A moment later, a female figure threw herself into the giant’s arms.
The two did not get much time for reunion. From behind them, another voice started screaming. It was a madman, another prisoner. I went over to see what was happening. The man demanded we release him as well, or he would kill us all.
Jaheira laughed at him, and asked him how he got here. The stranger didn’t listen. Instead, he repeated what he had said a moment before. Not wanting to listen to this further, Minsc just twisted the bars of the madman’s prison as well. The odd man stepped out of his cell, laughing. I thought he was happy with his freedom. That was not the reason though…”

Hi Pope, i have a suggestion...maybe you can compile your journal in either MsWord or word pad..so we all can read it at our own time...or even print it...cause reading from the screen is not as enjoyable as read it from paper....anyway it's wonderful..hehehe..i can't wait to print your journal...

“A bunch of armed men came out of several hidden niches. Capes hid their faces. It seemed like the cellar was defended better than we had thought. The madman kept laughing. Suddenly he stopped. He looked into each of our eyes, before starting to laugh once more. He pulled out a knife, and slit Dynaheir’s throat! Why had this man done such a thing?! We would never find out…
Minsc burst out in rage, and grabbed the man by his shoulders. I was too stunned to help him out. The next moment, a dozen of swords pushed the huge man back.
Waving his hand, the stranger ordered the bandits to disarm us and guide us outside. Minsc’s ward was left behind, quickly bleeding to death.
When the five of us stood before the small fortress, the strange man turned around. From underneath his cloak I could see a hammer. No doubt it was enchanted, as it looked like pure gold. Pure gold would have been too heavy to carry, so the shining colour would have to be the enchantment’s effect.
The man walked around us, thinking what he would do next. Before he got the chance of saying something though, an arrow was shot straight into his chest. He gasped, and then fell to the ground. When I turned around, I could see one of the masked bandits holding a bow. The other men didn’t wait one second, and drew steel to fight the infiltrator.
The archer ran off. Ajantis saw an opportunity and punched one of our captors in the face. Minsc and Khalid did the same and took their swords back. I didn’t feel like getting my old weapon back though; instead I picked up the nice gold-coloured hammer the bandit leader had dropped. I took a moment to consider it, and then claimed it as my own.
The strange attacker had halted, and was now busy fighting a couple of robbers using a halberd he had carried on his back. Somehow, I felt like I should help the man, and so I rushed to assist him.
My newly acquired weapon seemed to be quite powerful. As I hit one of the bandits, an electrical shock went through him, and he fell down, dead. This would be a nice tool in my quest indeed.
Khalid was not so lucky. He was surrounded by about five warriors. Although the half-elf was a great fighter, even a group that large was hard for him to deal with. Jaheira, from a distance, was casting spells to aid her husband. It helped, but not enough. All of their opponents were defeated in time, but Khalid was hurt badly.
When Minsc was done with his share of enemies, he quickly charged over to the ruins and hurried down the stairs.
I too was finished, and I could see Ajantis killing off the last bandit. The paladin followed Minsc into the fortress.
The unknown archer would’ve escaped the scene, if it weren’t for the Entangle spell Jaheira had cast to keep him where he was. I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the helpless man try to cut away the plants holding him.
Minsc appeared in the building’s doorway, carrying Dynaheir in his arms. He walked out, placed the body on the ground. Ajantis came standing behind him, and patted the ranger’s shoulders whispering that there was nothing they could’ve done. The giant cried out. I knew then that it had been too late for the witch. She had bled to death…
Even though Khalid had received assistance from his wife, the overwhelming force he had faced had severely wounded him. Jaheira quickly started casting healing spells on her husband, but it couldn’t stop the bleeding. The man was sure to die that day, unless he was brought to a temple immediately.”
