Calladin (my IWD mage)
wouldn't he/she have made a better paladin? Or palladin...
@Stilgar; never saw that, was it based on the David Lynch movie?

Ahoy there. Calladin Umbrethil Skallado? A paladin? Why, if he were a paladin, his mom would blister the seat of his pants. Besides, if he was a paladin, that means he wouldn't be able to cast magic missle.

@ Chanak;I see...no, no I don't see at all.
Surely the temptation to be Calladin the fallen palladin is enormous?
(An IWD mage? Now thats brave...)

I realy don't like Paul, in the Movie he's a hero, but in the book and mini-series he's the Wesley Crusher of the Dune-Universe!!!!

I always like Chani the best out of the Dune characters. It stikes me as one of the most incredibly beautiful, sad and noble things in the story when she offers to leave Paul after he decides to marry Irulan to gain the Golden Lion Throne.

**sigh**
All those names, and you just
have to pick out Calladin...
He might have been better off being a fallen paladin. I only had to raise him 5 or 6 times...
He must have missed his
calling in life!

Lol... some names I have used, taken from though im not sure if many people have heard of it a series called monkey magic (best dubbing ive ever seen btw) btw If you havent seen the series you will probably have less than no idea about anything im writing
The best thing is for anyone who has ever seen the show, the main char's actually fit bg2 roles quite well
Tripidaka (Lawfull neutral Cleric)
Monkey (chaotic neutral Kensai mage with grand mastery in staff)
Sandy (Chaotic good Straigh Kensai wth grand mastery in halberd)
Pigsy (Kensai once again and considering that you cant use a rake in bg2 I give him mastery in spear couse halberd is taken)
Horse (This char isnt actually allowed to do anything, just carry stuff)
That madness aside, heres another party I used from Ryan ber's book, no lights
Makklu Xih, Lawfull neutral male skald or blade with lowest possible charisma
Akryn, Chaotic neutral male Barbarian or bezerker wth an sk'd intel of 1 and grandmastery of club or mace (preferably ALWAYS in bezerk state)
Ji il sadat, chaotic good female Invoker with LOTS of fireballs
Cyreist , lawfull neutral female cleric wth high charisma
And the evil guys
Sae'nher, male Chaotic evil necromancer
Irin Sarattu, male Chaotic evil fighter / cleric
Jahdumin, male Lawfull evil Cleric
Vaas, Female neutral evil Cleric / mage
I did the game with all those parties....The evil no lights party was the hardest by far couse I hate magic and the monkey magic one was too easy.. two Kensai's and a Kensai mage, even with dumb profs these guys cut the game to bits
Oh well.. thats my lengthy and boring 2c

@ gnomethingy; Oh my god, I used to
love that programme...how on earth can you remember all that stuff?? Mayhem would ensue at my school the day after that was on TV...I think the board of governers even discussed its baleful influence on a normally placid group of school children
Great idea for an adventuring party..

I grew up watching
Monkey Magic, which now I come to think about it probably explains a lot. I loved that series! That cloud of Monkey's was just awesome. I would have made Tripitaka Lawful Good, myself.
That gives me an idea for a poll in SYM... "Was Tripitaka male or female?"

Tripidaka is a budhist... they dont beleive in good or evil ( do they? Im not sure) but he still basicly travels around doing good, so I dun know
Pigsy has a cloud too btw... he uses it in one or more episodes and it resembles some sort of cloud scooter
Sandy rules....
Tripidaka is supposed to be a man.. but he is played by a woman, dont ask me why
THe monkey magic party rules... wait till monkey gets staff of the ram, sandy gets ravager and pigsy gets ixils pike... all +6 weapons...lol
Spirit of monkey was.... Irrepresible, MONKEY!!!!!!!!

as Jan Jansen once said
when you have that much monkey's anything's possible
monkey magic may tie in to that?
what would happen if he grew his staff when it was in his ear? ouch!

Rattman, I like your style... certainly cuts down on character creation time

Everytime I start a character I take names from "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan. For example Rhuarc (my archer) and Rahvin (my fighter/mage)

What about using non word words for char names
Bah, bleh, hmm, hmph, arg!, ahem, ffffft, la la la, woosh, yip, waaah to name a few
makes for amusing npc dialogues
