No, it's just kind of obvious. Creeper has already been mentioned, and the creatures you mention always respawn. Those are both known, and easily put together. Try to come up with a scheme for making money that might slip by most folks. ;)

This is a tad cheesy, but if you are looking to make some cash legitimately in the beginning of the game you can join the mage's and fighter's guilds and sell the stuff in the player's supply chests (which respawns after a while). IMO, the restore magicka and restore health potions are worth keeping, but the other items can provide some handy small change.

I do that a lot lol :) Its worth remembering too that the chest restock every now and then too. I'm not sure the of the time limit til they restock though - I think its a few weeks (in game time not real time lol)

I just kill High Ordinators. You can get a million gold in an hour doing that, and i haven't seen any faster means of it anywhere else.

By the time you are strong enough to kill High Ordinators you might as well have a bit of fun and go explore all the daedric ruins - by the time you have sold all the ebony and daedric loot you get you don't need to worry about money ever again. Its more fun than just killing Ordinators too (IMO).

Another good way to make cash for a reasonably low level character is to explore the Dwemer ruins. If you can avoid the steam centurians while too weak to fight them you can get loads of dwemer coins which sell for 50 each to Creeper. If you put a mark spell by Creeper too then you can make a fair bit of cash from the gear cogs too.

Money Making Schemes

There's an Ebony mine near Seyda Neen - Just leave everything other than a few teleportation scrolls and your sword and shield on the ground somewhere you'll remember it, and fill your inventory with the stuff. Other things I do - I just find things lying around and pick them up - guards don't get mad at you if you take things from the crates on the street - and sell them to the specialized merchants.

I run through Indoranyon, killing everything in my way, and I pick up all the weapons, shields, etc. that are on the corpses. i also get quite a few golden saint souls doing this and quite a bit of money gets raked in from selling the stuff to creeper. i just wish he would buy the daedra hearts too.

I use a simple yet effective method, I buy, or otherwise procure(from te mages guild in my chest) soul gems and fill them with critters I kill, usually summoned stuff that I grab for myself.

Clanfears or scamps are the best bet for this, since they are easily summoned and easily killed.

Collecting is a good method, I like collecting Ebony, Gems(daedric shrines), Pearls, etc. Dwemer coins are also a good method for easy cash.

The best way though is borrowing the enchanter's(in Balmora) soul gems during the Fake Soul Gem job for Ajira. No bounty, no fuss.

Except if you later want to use Galebedir's enchanting services, at which point she will recognise that you've stolen gems from her, even if you no longer have them in your inventory ;)
That's been my experience anyway, others may differ.

If you sell them she seems to forget about it. But you have to sell them all, likely you kept the one worth 60,000 or something(the one with the Winged Twilight in it)

I may have done... It was a long time ago though, so I can't precisely remember. :o

i agree about the extremly valuble potions, only what i do is when i sell the potions, they don't usually have enough money to buy, so i sell them one potion and then trade for all their money plus anything valuble like diamonds and rubies, plus more ingredients.

i found when your still weak at the beginning, when or if you go to balmora, you can go to the temple and go straight through the first walk way and turn right then go to room right there and barter with the guy. he has infinate ingredients of some types.

buy at least two different kinds of ingredients with the restore fatigue effect, till you have like 300 of both. then make restore fatigue potions till the ingredients are gone. you should have tons of restore fatigue potions that you can sell back to him making a profit. (example: saltrice = 1 gold, hound meat = 1 gold, mix the two and get a potion worth about 21 gold, you get 20 gold profit per potion) now keep doing this and you will level up your alchemy skill till you can make potions that are worth 100s of drakes for only spending 2 drakes out of your pocket.

Also when you sell the potions back to him, he can only buy so many because of how much money he is carrying. the good thing is that when you buy more ingredients the money you use to pay for them becomes the sellers gold. you can do this proccess over an over till you are really high in alchemy, and you have extra potions of restore fatigue that the poor sap couldn't afford because you already cleaned him out. when first starting out i found it very usful to have restore fatigue potions handy. Am i right?

thats definitely my experience. if i try to enchant with her with any of her soulgems in my inventory(not even enchanting with them) then she yells and the whole guild attacks me. and i die :(

Hmm, I'm pretty certain I have gotten away with enchanting with her many times after stealing her stuff. Gonna check on this when I get home to see how it goes.

Course though, the one time she did attack me the guild ended up dead:

You can get through if you have stolen something unique. If you have taken something raw - like herbs, gems and so on - do not have them in inventory when doing business with one you have had stolen something like it - even if it is not exactly the same piece, they all are going to be the same for him (or her).
However, nobody recognizes a stolen item if it's been enchanted. The same goes for filled gems.
So in this particular case you are pretty safe as long as you
1) do not have empty gems of kinds you've stolen from her;
2) do not have filled gems like you have stolen from her (skeleton, IIRC, Winged Twilight in Grand etc.).
It's true, of course, also regarding weaponry and books you maight have stolen.

I think everyone knows you can make money at potions but what I learned and maybe I'm not the only one who didn't know this for awhile...

You can sell the khajit balmora mage guild alchemy chick BACK some mud crags and small kwama eggs. It will make her supply go up each time. Then buy back. Resell. Each time she has more and more ingredients. Maybe I forgot the trick but it doesn't work with every merchant or with every ingredient??? Anyhow I can't always get it to work.

Then make lots of potions and get gold. Alchemy goes up potions get more valuable intelligence goes up.

There is a alchemist in balmora with 3000 gold and good alchemy stuff (mortars pestles). Every once in a while buy better alchemy stuff. Whats really sick at high levels is to do a trick (same as with crabs and eggs) on her rubies. Make her have a stock of 100 rubies(avail each transaction). Now whenever you deplete her gold selling her potions (by this time your alchemy and intelligence are sky high and your potions are pricey) you still sell pots but take rubies in trade. Now you have buttloads of light weight rubies to trade other alchemists or general shopowners on your travels.

Money is no longer an issue!! The economy is broken! My char had done hardly any quests but was waltzing around with 110 rubies :D

Somehow my tactics pissed of the balmora alchemist. she has 0 disposition now and even a 100 gp bribe doesn't raise her (even if it succeeds). Oh well at least I have 180 rubies now LOL.

One of the best way (in my opinion) is to go out hunting goldensaints and ascended sleepers. Then you've got a soulgem worth a huge amount of money. The only problem is that no merchant have that much. But I've found out a way to go around this problem. I'm always going to an enchanter in Ald'rhun's mage guild. You make a very good enchantment (that costs a lot of money so she gets that money), then you sell the item to her (worth less than the acual enchantment). Then you collect her spare cash by selling cheaper items to her (5000-10000). You will gather bucks in no time.

Why do waste Grand Gems (moreover with GS souls) selling them? Do you really have nothing to enchant?
Money actually is not an issue in this game. Minor problems are only on the very start of the game. Very soon you have lots of gold and nothing to buy (save perhaps raws for alchemy, bribes and some spells). No decent weapon and very few pieces of armor are for sales. One lives by sword in this game.
