Timing does play a role, and it's something that's hard to control for. Kelsey and Anomen have a total of 6 arguments before the "final conflict" but because Kelsey's romance timer is faster than Anomen's (popular demand) you won't necessarily see all six, because the fight takes place after Anomen interrupts Kelsey's sixth romance dialogue.
Or, you're just not amused by my writing, a distinct possibility.

IMO, Kelsey's romance timer is too fast.
I know--whine, whine, whine.
But look on the bright side: I started a new game a couple of weeks ago just so I could play with Kelsey. So cheer up.

I keep meaning to (and promptly not following through) put out a version of his script with a romance timer in the one-hour (Jaheira) range.
Conventional wisdom, and a fair amount of feedback, indicated that a lot of experienced players just didn't want to have to screw around doing all the quests to see all the dialogues. I actually make it a little longer in 1.0.4, but I'll put out something that should make it longer still.

No elves eah? A question though, the human theif avatar stinks I think, is it a crime to use an elf or half elf avatar and be human?
My friend made a sword yesterday btw for the char, it will mean that profs will be in scimitar ect. It had no description as yet but has been dubed the "ill sword" couse it looks cool....
Uhhh, what makes a corny name? List the bg2 npcs that have corny names so I have something to go on

But here is a mesure of jive bable I have been intructed to write by certain people who shall remain nameless Once I write the dialogues on paper, do the stats and decide class and race theres six people I know who want to do the techno jive.. they can all sort of split up and do the cre files , scripting , items and all that, none of them are familiar with weidu however but no doubt they will pick it up fast... But I need to ask a question, can multiple people work with weidu? Is there any way to compile individual dialogue tree's?

ok a female swashy that can dual to a fighter or a mage
or fighter start with or something like that
a NPC you can mould in to your own vision would be nice (so they can be many diffrent things to please most people)
and the stowaway may be nice
trying to help a certin young girl on the island?

Here be the "ill sword", its a little rusty couse it might be too powerfull and he didnt put much in it incase he had to scrap it.. no description
but its a wakisashi +2 with -1 speed factor and can cast a spell thats a little like emmotion once per day the clua is "illsword"

Ok, we all know for sure that the game is lacking in the area of solid, professional, reliable thieves.
But I see a potential problem in creating a character like the lovingly swashbucler you are talking about...
Her very existence would mean an unescapable sentence of death for poor Yoshimo.
I mean, who would ever think of bringing Yoshimo to Brynnlaw if such a better option (a pretty, romanceable, more-skilled in fighting female npc?) just existed?
(I understand that "who cares" is a pretty fair answer to my question.... but I choose to make it anyway)

I don't know a great deal about Chl...er the 'nameless NPC'... but wouldn't a wait and see attitude be better?

Very well Anomen, I hearby renounce the path of evil and withdraw all negative comments I have made about said npc...
Anyways, on a completly different topic.. our group has schismed, 2 poeple in favour of a human (dont laugh, it was going to be a half orc for a while there) male bard and three people in favour of a female swashy, im stuck in the middle and now I have to do dialogue for both pc's.. though my friend is writing interparty dialogue for mr bard

I wasn't suggesting you keep your objections to yourself, I was just wondering what they were as I don't know very much about the Chloe npc -- which I gather is still very young in terms of development. But I would like to see how the high dex thing is implemented, justified etc.

Oh btw.. my friend did the entire poem like that, took him ages and its finnaly paying off

a) she seems to fight with an inordinate amount of pc's.. over half or something
b) she will only romance female pc's.. or if there are none interested / available she will romance imoen
c) she boasts that she will banish dirt to the land of wind and ghosts
d) she is a demi god and has 25 dex

Maybe I came over like the voice of justice, but the various mods are all being done by people in their own time and you did describe her as inducing vomit...I hope nothing valuble was soiled. I would say if you don't like whats being done, try and keep critical comments constructive rather than so emotive (just my opinion) and if you really don't like new npcs, why don't you try it yourself...oh you are.

d)yesss...that's the tricky one. Like I said, it will be very interesting to see how that works out. Still it is original, I just hope it hasn't been done to get around the kensai's lousy AC --AKAIK, she'll be un-dualable being a half elf.

Okay, so we got a name sent out (Now I know what to call this gal).
1.*Half* of the NPCs? Nobody nominate this girl for Ms. Charisma...
2.That'll be interesting, I suppose...BG2 needs a new twist.
3. Oh god, as if we didn't have enough of those "super-good" NPCs as it is! (hence Minsc, Keldorn, Anomen...the list goes on and on)
4. Good dexterity is vital, just don't make her one of those NPCs that you couldn't kill off if you tried. (Example: Korgy!)

Apologies if this isn't how you've seen this but Chloe isn't gnomethingy's npc (oh the irony
), she's a npc being worked on at the moment by someone called Lucythebeast.
