sorry, this is way off topic for BG2, but I wanta gloat and be admired for my accomplishment. finally tested a way to hack mech commander 2 and have created illegal mechs.... a blood asp packing 4 heavy large lasers, 4 clan heavy lasers and 7 clan long ranged missiles, and 400 points of armor!
The only sorta problem with this design is the firepower is so heavy about half the time a target goes into fusion bottle breach and blows up, making salvage difficult. Will finalize design over the next few days and do some pilot editing and possibly submit to a gaming cheat site...like avault.

really sorry about the off topic, but yuusuke and others who are playing mech commander might be interested in my cheat files...

The only other RPG games I could recommend besides BG 1, 2 and Planescape Torment is Fallout 1 and 2, but the interface is ALOT difrent than BG1 and 2 but theise games are just as great becouse you can play it bout over 5 times and still discover new things to do!!!!!

TORMENT is si the best bg style game u can find. It is in my top second after systemchock in my game list.

How about Commando's 2? Looks interesting to me!
(is this game out yet? I think in other continents but not in Europa)

Have you tried adding the TDD mod to SoA?
