If anyone is interested, I tested the above exploit to get Yoshimo back with a (official) patched game. It does work. He joins your party no problem.

Uh, forgot a good use for maze... you know, when a lich has Prot. from
Magical Weapons, and you can't dispell it 'cause he's immune
to breach...
And liches are naturally immune to normal weapons too...
Just Maze him, likely the four rounds will expire in the Maze!

Another nice tactic The high int of a lich would keep it mazed for quite a while too.

Are you sure about that? I think I remember the berserker warrior from the horn of Vahalla hurting a lich under pro-magic.

prot from magic weps, best breached, but does not work on liches, as they are immune to the spell, dispell works, or remove magic, but think of this, kiddies...

a berserker with NORMAL weapons can hit liches with prot from magic weapons...while enraged, your hits have a thaco bonus of 2!!!!!!!!!!!!

so even while the game engine checks for normal weapons to let a normal weapon thru, the lich cre file will not let the normal weapon hit, but the thaco bonus of enrage WILL let a normal weapon hit....

now, kiddies, if you equipp a normal missile in a enchanted bow, like firetooth, you retain the thaco bonus of the weapon, and it puches thru protection from magic weapons, due to its normal type, and STILL delievers the extra fire damage...


so berserker is the ultimate lich killer, using enrage or a high enchanted bow, like firetooth, or gesen with plain arrows, delivering shots or meelee attacks that punch thru prot from magic weapons like it was nothing,,,,,

well, i used a unenchanted weapon against a clay golem, with bun bun 4, and enrage on, no effect...

something is seriously twiggy, will try cluaing in the iron horn in irenicus dungeon to see if i can figure out...

possibly something strange about the cre file itself...

bun bun 4, which should be out tonite, is awesome...

with enrage, kensai abilities, and draw on holy might, bhaal powers type, +7 to hit, +14 to damage....whoo hoo...

I'm almost sure about "special" liches, they were immune to normal weapon, as they should be from PnP, IIRC.

Not sure about the randomly generated liches, though.
