Hey, now! I did nothing of the sort. I only said that my wife and I were engaged in conubial activities, and that was responsible for my lack of energy in the last few moments. I don't boast about sexual prowess. It seems to me that people who spend time boasting about such things have little time for the more important things in life--like music, art, literature, long walks, and sex.

Clearly, my gutter mind took your initial comments referring to exhaustion out of context. I can only apologize for my deranged brain. 'Insert smilies here'

This, from a fella who looked so much like a bone that he was buried by my pet stegosaurus.

Ouch! I can only say touche', that was indeed a good one. ;) :D However, I find it strange one of the larger herbivores to ever walk the face of the earth was compelled to bury bones. Perhaps I should not have skipped the class way back when, "Teach your plant eating pet to eat meat". :p

Sorry about the minor spam frogus. It's sort of a part of the lovefest; and its' not every day two guys can get together and reminisce about the Jurassic period. Oonga-boonga!

Frogus, who would have thought you were a flower-power kid? :D

I never make a secret (I wish I could) of who I like or not like, so if it seems like I like you, I probably do. This list will not be complete, so if somebody is surprised they are not mentioned, it's just my faulty memory functioning.

Aegis: The sweetest thing around, and also a smart, mature and responsible young man.

Buck: Not only the standard "for keeping this board such a good place", but also because he never abuses his power, he genuinely cares about keeping us members happy and he really listens to us.

CM: One of most objective and broad-minded members who really know the skill of seeing the whole picture. Also very huggable

Delacroix: The purest intellectual around, always prepared with refreshing perspectives outside the conventional and expected.

Dragon Wench: A warmer and more kind person is difficult to find, also a broad minded intellect.

Fable: Besides from being an intellectual and a well of knowledge, also a true humanitarian who loves mankind too much to fall into cynism although he never close his eyes to the horrors of this world.

Frogus: My dear son who reminds me a lot of how I was myself that age - although I was never that nice and funny.

Georgi: Funny, witty, smart and mean - of course I must love her!

High Lord Dave: Informative posts, never looses temper or fall down to flaming and sarcasm

Kameleon: A real sweetheart (have I turned into a cradle robber?), both smart and funny.

Maharlika: Tolerant, warm, open minded and a really caring person.

Mr Sleep: Witty, smart and funny with a great social conscience and a wonderful sense of laconic humour. Do down to earth you'd think he had roots.

Ode to a Grasshopper: Despite his pothead image, a thoughful, intellectual and reasonable person. Both easy going and thought provoking.

Tom: Razor sharp and to the point posts that help us to see the essentials. Also very funny, and never afraid of asking unconfortable questions.

Yshania: Like DW, a warm and kind person with an open intellect and also very funny. If she was a shrink and I needed one, I'd go to her!

Well I love most of ya.

The funny jokers, perverts , & drunkards thanks for all the laugh and stress relieves.

The serious posters thanks for all the enlightment - eventhough I never participate on any of that. Perhaps the lack of vocabulary and flame wars phobia hinders me from it :( I might participate anyway sometime ;)

Anime lovers, thanks for reading my anime thread

Buck, thanks for this great forums

The mods, thanks for putting up with me. :)

OK, well, where do I start? Alphabetically, I think, just for my own amusement.

Anomen - for giving me endless sources of amusement to annoy AC with.

Aqua-Chan - for allowing me to tease her mercilessly about the above, and still manage to be civil :)

Beldin - for being a damn good SLURR, and a funny guy into the bargain. For all those links and random fun moments.

Bloodstalker - for all the laughs, and the Jeopardy thing :D

Buck Satan - for somehow managing to create the best forum that the internet will probably ever see!

C Elegans - for being just so damn nice :) And for taking my Diablo II characters off my hands, however much she might have enjoyed it...

CM - for the arguments, the misunderstandings and the great conversations.

Dottie - for just being himself, so determined to not conform.
Eerhardt - for being an undervalued "secretary" for the SLURRS, without whom most of my more indiscreet moments would be still undocumented. And for helping to make us who we are today, good or bad...

frogus - for living in the same city as me, and yet avoiding me so perfectly...OK, seriously, so often I think you're about 30, the things that come out of your mouth are so perceptive and funny.

K0r/\/f1@k€$ - for being my best mate, but then he already knows that :)

Maharlika - for easing me into SYM life with a thumb war...look mate, you insulted my honour, OK? I don't like people poking fun at me for my measly SPD, especially when it comes out at less than 0.2. Oh, and you're a really funny guy as well. Aren't we all...

Mr Sleep - for Goody, spamming mercilessly, being the very first person I looked up to on this board and for not recommending I be banned a couple of times

Ode - for being cool. What more can I say? For taking everything in such good humour, and 'cos we had some great laughs along the way :D

Tybaltus - for overtaking my post count in about 2 weeks, and somehow managing not to spam overmuch, despite what I say...sometimes I don't know whether he knows how much I'm kidding, but as he says...it's all good :D

Weasel - for being really, really funny

All the people who talk about grand topics in big words and huge posts...fable, CE, HLD, etc...I do read them sometimes...

All the mods - for keeping the place just as good as it's always been :)

Also, to all the people who are around, but I've never really gotten a chance to talk to...you're all great, just 'cos I haven't talked much to you doesn't mean I hate you or anything - I'd love to get to know you better. :)

Oh hell, and everyone, for ever replying to a single post that I've made. If you've never replied to a post I've made, then thanks for reading one of my posts. If you haven't, then I'm not talking to you, am I?

Aaaaaahhhhh...way too many smilies. I'm gonna go all HLD on this one, just 'cos it doesn't have a smiley doesn't mean it shouldn't have one :)

Oh dear. Well, my twisted sense of sarcasm seems to have backfired upon me...But I am not one to moan! *turns away and touches brow in dramatic prima donna fashion*
Yes, it's true, I can appreciate love and good friendship just as much as I appreciate bitterness and scorn, if not...no.
I have been deeply moved by all of your teary eyed confessions...so here are mine people, and you may never see me this emotional again:

Fable & Tom: I made a dedication to them a while ago, but removed it as it was out of place in the thread - so now again, thank you two clever clever men for arguing with me for my first posts on SYM in Tom's thread about murder vs manslaughter...You are excellent people, and I admire your brains a lot, plus your excellently refined sense of humour Tom, and your cultur'dness Fable :)

Ysh: Who I posted my first non-serious posts with...something about 'OXFORD IS WANKER', IIRC :D

CE: Who I admire for looking fantastic in passport photos!!?!, and who I am very grateful to for early discussions of Art and Depression (: )), and for good debates about religion and art...literature, oscar wilde neckerchiefs etc. :D Also the most reasonable person on SYM, with amazing command of fundamental logic and rational reasoning. She has done well through education too, evidently ;) . And very sweet and kind, as everyone knows.

Kayless: Funniest person on SYM ever...has had me genuinely laughing out loud, even alone in the room, on many occassions. Respect too to Waverly too, he made me laugh several times, and was very very funny too, as I have said before :) .

Mr. Sleep & Robnark: Share my musical tastes to some extent, god bless em, and a lot of love to Sleepy for our musical conversations in threads and PMs...

Kam: My fellow SYM Radiohead fanatic, the man I never did get around to meeting in real life *whistles innocently*, and a devious head at Diplomacy. Very intelligent too, and clever in that stylish sort of a way that I wish I was... :)
and I can testify that he is not a creepy paedophile.

*sob*

Well, I've never made any bones about liking everybody, here, and if you're reading this, you probably know it. :D If I mentioned a few folks in particular, I'd offend the rest, and I don't feel at the moment like writing the individual reasons for each of you,
My thoughts on the matter at hand as well. :)

Every person here, from the one post member to the 15,000 post member is considered by me to be my friend.

I agree with you on this one. :)

Though, I believe you have an exception... :p

Whoa this is unexpected. I am honoured but you guys give me too much credit. My list is damn long so i aint gonna start, as it would take me a couple of hours. This place is unique for sure, as HLD and CE figured out earlier. Some times when i get home sick, i know i can come on here and feel right at home. No i dont have a bunch of drunks crashing through everywall, or dominatrix women around either. Rather it is a feeling of warmth, closeness etc.

People here are great. they are accepting (come on if weasel is still here you gotta see that :D ) and friendly.hmmm... that about it.

I have no new words for this thread, probably because if i put new words in it no one would understand what i am talking about, so i stick to words which make sense.

Love no, respect yes. Cool thread, cool people in it, cool forum, i could go through listing people and why, i might do that later anyway, but safe to say i respect you all, everyone has something fresh to bring SYM even the lurker who stops me posting naked...he might be the most important member here.

Here's a list of people that have affected my life in SYM most:

Beldin: great drinking buddy, always having the appropriate links at the ready and has made some decent threads to boot.

Ode to a Grasshopper: my other drinking buddy. I have found Ode to have some great insights too in some of the more serious threads. We couldn't have kept the Rolling Thunder rolling without him and Beldin. Cheers to you, mates!

Kam: always there to liven things up and sparking controversy now and again  ;) :D

Astafas: a great addition to the crew in terms of originality. "Bloody Mary" and "blood-sucking vampire" have a different meaning since I met Astafas. He'll always be there, if you need him.

Stilgar: count on Stilgar to drop by the Rolling Thunder every now and then (even if the ladies don't always require his massaging services) and keep SLURRing. I had some good conversations with Stilgar too.

BS: I guess I needn't say more, when I mention BS. A source of inspiration, writer of some amazingly funny threads and dedicated boozehound :D

McBane: always there to back us up in our struggle with the COMMies and defender of those who suffer from wild allegations.

Ned Flanders: funny guy too and a great sport about the Rolling Thunder dropping by his Hall ;) .

Tam: source of most wild allegations. Always prepared to drop by the Rolling Thunder for a drink and a talk.

Brink: we may not see much of him, but man, did we have a laugh at those GIGGLEs :D

CE: even though she posts a lot of serious articles, she'll always be dear to me for C Elegans' couch and the duel over her life that followed.

Georgi: great sport about all the things we've done to her (too much to mention). Loved reading her diary :D .

CM: as Holmes has his Moriarty, so do the SLURRs have the COMMs. I'd like to thank Fas for being my nemesis and not being too stuck-up to drop by the Rolling Thunder every now and then.

Mah: like Fas, Mah will always drop by the Rolling Thunder on occasion. SeMAHtics existed long before the thread was started and we always had a laugh at them. Keep playing it  , mi hermano.

Mysty: in spite of being pre-occupied with playing NWN, Mysty would always make time to drop by the Rolling Thunder. It's always nice talking to her.

Sleep: we may be on opposite sides of the law :D , but he carries out his duty with great responsibility and he's open-minded enough to visit us once in a while and drink his Evian spiked.

Buck Satan: without him, there wouldn't be any board at all. You can't help but have the feeling Buck is always watching over us, with the best intentions. Thanks@Buck for running the forum the way he does.

People I haven't mentioned: I apologize for any people I may have forgotten to mention. Kudos to you all for making SYM the great community it has become today :)

Somehow a listing of people in SYM that I have grown close to would be difficult for me... given the inherent restrictions of language and my meager skills. I would like to acknowledge my fellow companions in the DF thread, however, all of whom are wonderful, thoughtful, and creative people with a ready sense of humor. I appreciate all of you very much. :) I am grateful in particular to Ysh for the little space she created for sharing thoughts and tea. :) Knowing me as they do, they pretty much keep me within the boundaries of that thread for fear of what could happen if I start interacting with the impressionable minds in the wider SYM community. :D Occasionally I do slip out, though, and I have had the pleasure of interacting with others such as CE, Sleep, Waverly, Mr. Fibble, Minerva, fable and Buck, which I have enjoyed immensely. As soon as I start taking my medications again, I may be able to interact with more of you -- I have to wait and see what PE (Psychoanalyst Extraordinaire) CE says about that though. ;)

Before coming here, I had fairly restrictive views on what constitutes a community and what was reasonable to expect in terms of intimacy within a virtual space. Two years ago, the idea of being friends with someone I had never met in person would have been preposterous. I was fortunate to find a place in which people of such high quality gathered and shared themselves. I was fortunate... to find all of you. :)

In closing, I would like to follow an ancient custom of expressing my deep and unquenchable gratitude for my muse, for without question my life has been miraculously transformed since the day that force touched my life....

"Dans l'obscurité ardente... la prairie brûle encore ... le mystère demeure encore ... et seules les baleines connaissent un amour plus profond ou une distance plus grande ... que la nôtre ..."
