Too bad I already killed him -in chapter 3 or something after 5 hours of trying or so.

Try talking to Prelate Wesselan anyway (when you get out from the Underdark) and then to William Reirrac.
Chances are you can get the stronghold anyway (there are more quests about it, not only Firkaag's).
At worst, you could get some funny dialogue about killing the dragon before they could ask you to do so ;)

And about who we could be, we actually have trouble in clearly defining the term "to be" in the first place...
