Hmm, a tough one. There are so many...Tempus, Red Knight, Clangeddin Silverbeard, Corellon Larenthian, Rillifane Rallathil, Gwaeron Windstrom...maybe Torm, too. Oghma is nice, too though...damn, it's too hard.
Centuries ago in England........It was an era of chivalry and magic. The evil Prince John unleashed an iron fist of tyranny upon the people. They called out for a champion.........one man answered that call. His name, was Robin Hood. Fearless in his quest for justice Robin Hood challenged the power of the high warlords. While protecting the helpless and the poor. Willing to face death for what he believed, along with the beautiful, lady warrior, Jaheira, the mighty Minsc, and the wise Keldorn. Robin Hood forged a legend that lives on today in............

Olidammara: The god of Rouges, Olidammara, is chaotic neutral. His titel is the laughting rouge. Olidammara delights in wine, women, and song. He is a vagabond, a prankstar, and a master of disguise. His temples are few, but many people are willing to raise a glass in his honor. Rouges and Bards are frequently among his worshippers. The domains he is associated with are Chaous, Luck, and Trickery. The rapier is his favored weapon.

He is definately NOT my favourite deity. I don't like all the chaos and rouge stuff, and blah blah blah blah.......

Also, Olidammara is not present in Forgotten Realms, only the D&D books.

Olidammara is another Greyhawk god. The basic world for 3rd Edition DnD is now Greyhawk, so all the stuff in the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monsters Manual is based on Greyhawk.

I had no idea. That's why all the god's, nearly all, have changed so much from the previous AD&D.
Anyway, my favorite two, now from the 3rd edition D&D, are: Pelor and Boccob.

So are the monsters in 3rd Ed. now significantly different from the monsters in 2nd Ed., given this transition from the Forgotten Realms setting to Greyhawk?

hardy har. i combine geryhawk and faruen in my campaign. a device called the Ocorumber was created by Vecna, Nerull, and Erythnul and through it they were able to make a portal to faerun. It is a golden sphere embedded with numerous gems which symbolize the deities who are connected to it (if you look hard enough, you can see the deities symbol). it was given to other evil gods as well, but when it came to Hextor, Heironius fought him, but lost, yet he managed to steal the Ocorumber and circulated it through the other good deities. but when it came to Kord, he went into a card game with olidammara and lost the ocorumber. olidammara gave it to the other neutral dieties. The ocoromber allowed many clerics of the gods to go to faerun. Now a small number of followers of each god live in faerun attempting to bring their word to high places. the device is currently in darkhold, waiting to be taken by any wanting to access the power of the gods of greyhawk.
i looked down the mine shaft to see if the cart was coming

it was-epitaph on nashkel gravestone
Executioner: so what is your last request?
Prisoner: just a clean death, so could you test the axe on my bonds
Executioner: Hmmm, all right.

Mielikki and Lathander always worked well for me.

For evil gods, you just couldn't beat Bane. (well, I guess you could....or Cyric could at least) :D

CAN YE NOT SPELL THE NAME OF THE MIGHTY BHAAL??? Although he did die, but... BHAAL IS ALL-POWERFUL!!! Well, almost... he did forsee his death, and took steps to come back... too bad I've only completed ToB as a paladin who did whatever he did so that there no longer was a God of Murder...

I guess I'll have to say Cyric... but pre-Time of Troubles I would've asid Bhaal!

Me, my favorite deity above all else would have to be Torm. I personally have a LOT of natural paladin tendencies, and feel at home with Torm's dictums of loyalty, obedience, and debts to heal/protect the world from corruption and destruction.

Other good deities I like are:
- Lathander (The sun, birth, and athletics sound important, don't they?)
- Ilmater (Healing and perseverance... I like that.)
- Garl Glittergold (A stern protector of his kind, yet also a person who likes to make and take jokes. Gnomes have a place in the realms, and not always involving turnips and gadgets.)
- Mystra (I like that she exemplifies beneficial use of the Weave, and her connection to wizards, sorcerors, bards, rangers AND paladins.)
- Moradin (Don't know what else to say except that I like dwarves and their deities.)
- Nobanion (I don't know, but this deity seems cool for some reason.)
- Mielikki (I love forests, and I do exemplify some ranger traits as well.)

Favorite Neutral deities:
- Grumbar (The earth is my favorite element of all.)
- Tempus (Something about him in that armor and the imposing helmet, riding a horse like some sort of dashing warrior.)

My favorite evil deities are:
- Bane (He conquered death, for crying out loud! He also has a cool weapon.)
- Talos (Destruction by natural forces is something to behold.)
- Malar (I don't know why, but something about lycanthropic tendencies and animalistic hunting also appeals to me.)
- Gruumsh (He's big. He's mean. He only has one of his eyes! He's also the patron of the orcs!)
