Most people go through some four characters (if they're careful) before they get the hang of the hardcore gaming style. Don't start off with your favourite character. ;)

My current computer does NOT like NWN, but I have a new one coming sometime in July which should be fully capable of running the game.

I would like to play my BotB character (der Moench), but may practice with a different character first. Look for me under one of the following names: Gregor vom Stein, Fricka vor Schatten, Siegrune Valkyrie, Daemmerung, or August vom Wald.

Someone else mentioned their connection - I would anticipate a 56k connection as well. Is this a problem?

I play using a 56k modem and everthing runs very smoothly. I look forward to seeing you online. :)

Using 256/64 cable wich can run most things I play over the net decently - but the canadian server is just to hard on my connection for some reason. The transatlantic bit is to hard - don't seem to have much problems with SWG yet though (wich I think is located in US - not sure though)
Might be the way NwN is build up - but I have massive lag when playing in Argyle wich is why I've stopped playing there - at least for some time while I explore some MMORPGs.
Although I miss the RP of Argyle - other game holds such whiners and p0w4rga43rz :D

What's the current status of AO? I think I am going to join next week, but not if characters get erased all the time because of newer versions etc.

Argyle will have no more Character wipes, and the last one happened in October.
