Horizontal-sheet surfing... I liked the sound of that!

...better surf the horizontal sheet than go and fly kites and kill kittens. :D

@Rob: I'm already trying to do the first, and no I won't do the 2nd. But thank's for the advice anyway... ;)

@Vicsun: NOW we're getting creative... Keep it up, we might hit something viable...

@DW...LMAO....*HUG* Great advice LOL.....
1. Do NOT 'diet'. but rather eat a healthy and ballanced diet as your habit.
and
2.Get moving: ( I too recomend the aerobic benifits of "sheet-surfing" )But when you do, make it a lifestyle thing. Get up, turn off the TV, and go play frizbe with the dog, hike around the lake, go rock climbing, pump iron, take up SCUBA, learn to Two Step, build that deck out back.play touch football with the co-eds at a local college on the weekends.......

@Scayde: re (1) - see my reply to Rob...

re (2) - I HAVE tried nearly everything you listed - except SCUBA diving - but that's on my "to do" list. - BUT I'm working 8 to 5 - PLUS commuting 1 hour in each direction and I want to see my children before they're asleep.... that leaves me with weekends for sports - and that'S where "housework" sets in... (swimmingpool, gardening...) . I just can't keep up a regular schedule for working out - because I can't make the time for it without cutting down on something I LIKE DOING WAAAAY MORE. Any ideas ?

You'll have to resist the appeal of endless fast food chains and their commercials wherever you go.

@fable: No problem here. Fast Food has no appeal for me. Hell, I don't even like frozen food. I've worked for a local frozen food company - and I KNOW how (and with WHAT) they're producing their junk... ... and I've looked into enough kitchens of fast food chains to know what I DON'T like. My problem is more that I like eating more than I like exercising... ;) :D

And then there's of course the local specialities ;) :D ...

@Phantom Lord: I'm sorry for you...but that's not an option for me - the same goes @DW - I have my share of stress (I'm a stress-eater BTW...) - and that's mostly why I don't find the time for exercising....

@All: I thank you all for your comments, and please keep it up - if nothing else I'm using you guys (and the gorgeous gals of course ;) ) for moral support... :)

No worries,

Hmmm ... maybe you could make your love life truly complicated (which would also increase the sheet surfing :D )
Then you could insult your boss and get yourself fired from your job.. In addition to the resulting stress..the running around looking for another would most certianly help....

;) ;)

Hehe, of course I also got fired recently (altough for personal reasons I had to take my boss down with me - in fact I even saw him leaving before me). And I certainly made my love live as complicated as I can think of. The funny thing is that these circumstances did not lead to stress - since toying around with new ideas - especially about a new woman and a new job - felt a lot like being reborn. The only stress-factor in this context is my phonebill ...

A serious weight loss only happened when I didn't eat during those two weeks I was suffering from massive heartbreak. Drinking no alcohol for a limited period of time thereafter in order to recover from feeling good again and party too many days in row seemed to work too.

Btw, another thing I read is that completely avoiding sugar can lead to weight loss of 18 kg within one year.

Well sometimes gaining weight is just as or more healthy then losing weight. I think when I was in the best shape, it was when I was preparing for my season as an offensive tackle for football, and during the season aswell...but I was gaining weight instead of losing it. Thats because I spent every other day in a weight room just lifting. I may still be slow, but I certainly became strong and more fit, IMO then the days I spent on the damn treadmill. Lifting weights is actually fun...those exercise machines....well....

Re: Re: UPDATE:

@Tybbs: I was working out at the local gym when I was still dancing (back in the olden days.. ;) ) . I used to dance in a Latin Formation (sp ?) team.... and I had to lift my partner when we did our "Dirty Dancing"-ripoff mambo...**sigh**....and this way I can tell you - it's no problem if you're slow - as long as you've got the power to deliver the second punch in any brawl with sufficient force to stop the brawl then and there... :D ;) . (..and if you're strong enough to survice the FIRST one ...which is aimed at you.. ;) ) .

OK, @Scayde. Especially for YOU....

Here's the picture that started my current demise in weight....

It's taken at the island of KOS (Greece) in the summer of 1995.

I was weighing about 186 lbs then....(opposed to 210 lbs. in 2002).. .

My change of mind came just when I was looking at my old Holiday pics from back then....

Here we go - No worries, I'm fully clothed on this one... :D ;)

Beldin

PS: No I don't have a better pic of me.... ;)
