Solodruids are great to play, especialy from a roleplaying view of the game.
In BG1 they don't really kick ass as it's very hard to get them to a decent level with decent spells.

But from a role playing perspective, if you go to BG2, you will be "the same", you will be you and.............. YOU WILL ROCK!

I just started a totemic druid and my totemic spirit snake is just plain wicked, so I've got my panties a bit in a twist.

Don't forget the shapeshifter! Very powerful in ToB. Although the Avenger's dragon insta-kill is pretty cool (Doom a number of times, Chromatic Orb.)
