I was born in January and almost everyone else in my class the year before, so every girl I went out with was a little older than me. But I don't think it made any difference. Maybe because the difference wasn't much.

What's important is that over time I learned the appearance isn't everything. Take, for instance:

There's this junior chick named Deb - I really like :) - in my environmental science class and she's hitting it so hard with this black kid, Kel, sitting next to me. Do you know what they're doing? They're making fake divorce papers and exchanging them back and forth like ten times a day!! And I know he's got like, 5 girlfriends. Arrg! Why is he so popular??

So just last week, this girl, Jen in AP bio, comes up to me after lunch, and says, "Debbie's family is a bunch of hardcore Jesus freaks!" I have no problem with Christians, but... well, I lost interest when she flatly denied evolution. I should find another prom partner :(

But, look for appearance first. THEN see if the character is on the same rhythm.

You should come over here then Gwally. Since Sweden is very gender-equal, gender roles swings around by the season, it's a bit like fashion :D And this older women-younger man coupling has been hip for quite a while now, so I think it's soon going to swing the other way around...you could come here and become a trendsetter :D

Dammit I'm not 20 ;)

Yes, that is strange...when a 40 year old man chases girls half his age he is a dirty old heap of filth, but when a 40 year old woman chases men half her age she is cool, brave and self-actualisating...

I think the younger woman/older man is more accepted because the biological function of a mated pair unit is to produce children. Hugh Heffner just had a kid a couple of years ago when he was around 70 years old. Older women cannot produce any offspring, so they are biologically less desirable as mates, and therefore are socially less desirable.

And at 51, you're a fine, aged wine.
I'm allergic to wine. Does this mean that in 21 years, I'll cause myself to break out into hives?

I've a mix of female friends - from 21 to 46. I've had partners within that range too, though usually older than me. I must say, a woman (as opposed to a girl) is more experienced and interesting, whatever the age.
