Is this an altered string from another spell (like spell immunity abjuration)or is it a real spell? Couldn't figure it out...
I belive it's a ninth level spell whic is like an improved improved mantle........ this means +5 and better weapons are needed....

You're right. From reading the spell descriptions, I didn't think that Secret Word would be useful against Stoneskin, although I would expect Dispel Magic to work.

stoneskin is dumped by breach, remove and dispell magic...

though breach will NOT work on iron skin...druid version of stoneskin....

absolute immunity is the reason bioware included +6 version of holy avenger...and like xyx says, which would you prefer, a spell that protects against all magic weapons, or just +5 versions???

please note however absolute immunity and all mantle spells keep you from peppering mages with unmagical arrows and bolts to punch thru ptotection from magic weapons...

You got a point. I guess the spell sounded a real lot better then it really is, and the "Oh My God A New Spell"element played a part too.

I sounds like a protection like the magic golems have on them, but reversed-and less useful. Maybe me and my IEEP can fix that :D

Those golems have protection against Magic weapons as a permamnet ability........ when you get to TOB, Prot vs Magic Weapons is a really goof spell as almost all monsters have magic weapons then....

this is why the firetooth bow with unmagical bolts is such a evil trick,

the unmagical bolts punch right thru prot from magic weapons...then the crossbow adds the extra points of elemental damage, which goes right thru stoneskin...

Please note that Absolute Immunity only grants protection to weapons of +4 enchantment at best. Crom Faeyr, Improved Mace of Disruption and regular Carsomyr will punch through it just fine.

In other words, it sux0rz for a level 9 spell.
